Because one of my eyes is messed up.

mi not really sure but if you are like me (i have a lazy eye, my right eye) and i cant "see" 3d all that much, but when i do i get a mean headache.

well, then I don't think you have much use for the 3D feature, but it can be turned off and the line-up of upcoming games is mindblowingly awesome. So I wouldn't let it stop you from buying it.
