So, this will be the 2nd time Nintendo has recycled GCN hardware to sell it in a new console?

Oh, sorry. How about you go design a portable console that is more powerful than the PS3 that eats up little battery.

I would simply use the PICA200 2008 model. It renders over twice the polygon count of the 2006 model, with half the power consumption. :)

So, the pica was in the GCN?
Also, link to the article saying they are not going with the so called 2008 model.
