I am particularly excited about the 3D picture taking aspect of the 3DS.
And now someone will post something about taking a picture of their private areas. NINJA POST SIG

Yeah that should be cool. I just hope they have a mode to change it to anaglyphic 3D (red/blue) for use on non-3D displays or printing.
Currently playing: Tales of Vesperia, Facebook
What do you mean Facebook's not a game? Why can I play it on my 360 then?

Yea, that's one of the features that caught my eye. Hopefully Sharp releases a 3D picture frame.

Also, for those that have a 3D printer of some sort (they might be a lot cheaper and better in the future), we should be able to print 3D pictures in 3D, too.

Technically, the 3DS could easily offer the ability to save your pictures in 3D formats other than the one used by the system, such as red and blue anaglyph 3D and cross-eyed stereoscopic 3D. There are already thousands of 3D pictures on the internet than you can see without glasses by crossing your eyes to overlap two slightly different images of the same subject. Some of these are truly awesome:

It's obviously not as ideal as a pair of glasses or a 3D screen --- crossing your eyes to overlap two images means that you'll be seeing a total of THREE pictures, and it can be tough to maintain your focus on the middle one at first. It's also tiring for your eyes after extended viewing, but all in all, the 3D effect is truly breathtaking in the better pictures and videos.

It's totally worth taking the time to learn how to focus your eyes to see these images. You want to see what 3D on the 3DS will look like? This is probably the closest thing you can check out for free.

It's good enough for a screen with not even 0.1mp.
