get Zero Mission? I don't like to use guides and I don't like wandering around aimlessly.

How does Zero Mission improve upon the original?

Zero Mission is actually a really god remake. I'd still recommend playing the original but Zero Mission is definitely worth getting

It adds:
-A Map system
-New Bosses
-Changes the rooms (the overall layout is still the same, but the rooms have different things in them)
-More Puzzles (less bombing every single block you see)
-New Items
-Samus now has abilities from Fusion (Ledge grabbing, wall jumping, 8-direction aiming, etc.)
-Some cutscenes
-New areas
- Unlockable Concept art
- You can unlock the original Metroid
-Unlockable Hard mode

It's pretty much a completely different experience that's based off the original

Honestly, it doesn't get more badass than cutting a giant crocodile's head off with your bare hands, does it?

I haven't exactly played it, but from what I've seen, the game is a complete re-imagining of the original with new bosses, items, and missions.
This is the internet, all opinions are considered invalid.

That reminds me, isn't the original Metroid included on Zero Mission anyways? So why'd they even bother giving up Metroid as one of the NES games? Seems like a waste.

And I doubt ZM will be since all it is is a remake of the Original Metroid.
