I'm a tad confuzzled, I haven't been keeping up with this board, but from what I remember, a good amount of people were moaning for another circle pad. Now that the thing is released, they're complaining? I'm pretty much indifferent to the decision, since I find that the touch screen works well for shooters, but I don't see what's bad about the decision.
This is the internet, all opinions are considered invalid.

They wanted it built into the system. Not as an add-on.

If you look at the add od, it's not visually pleasing and looks like it would remove the probability of the system., I mean the 3DS could compare to the thickness of a Gameboy color, now it looks like about the size of a Gameboy.

It's not that they wanted it. Instead, it's pretty much like this:

"If I were Nintendo, I would have added another analog stick, just sayin'."

They can't change it now, so that's why we didn't care so much afterwards when the 3DS was released. Then all of a sudden Nintendo releases an ugly addon to the 3DS, which we don't want since it looks just way to complicated and weird.
My name is guncrashdx, but you can just call me TC.

Personally outside of a FPS game, the second analog would have just been a camera control, which it has been proven even with a second stick for camera controls, half the time devs still can't make a decent camera system even work.

I am frustrated that they could make such a dumb mistake, and then try to backtrack when it surely was a conscious decision not to include it in the first place when it has become an industry standard.

They seem so indecisive. It makes them look like they don't deserve to be in the big game because they don't know what they are doing. They are supposed to be the experts, but we consumers knew better than they did that they should have included it from the start.

Industry standard for Consoles, Handhelds are iffy at best since it's the camera stick. Again I can't stress this, even with a stick for the camera it wouldn't stop the camera from being somewhat bad. Hell I remember getting irritated trying to Play Kingdom Hearts II with it's camera.

Yes but people are too stupid and don't realize Nintendo can't add another circle pad on the system. Only an add-on

^Well I wouldn't call them stupid, but for some reason, they simply expected or wanted Nintendo to just up and drop millions of people who previously picked up the 3DS (along with a few other expenses) and think that would immediately fix the problem.
Currently Let's Playing: Super Mario Galaxy 2
