its a nice way of saying "HEY! you've played too much! time to take a forced break, foo!" being an adult sucks =( play too much games and you feel like poop. sure would have been nice to have 8 hours of gameplay but oh well. 4 is nice and the dock makes it easy to charge.

for those of you who are pretty busy with life what do you think of the battery life? like I said, its perfect for my schedule.

Yeah I honestly haven't had any problems with battery life. I only really get to play on the train so I get maybe 3-4 hours of play time on average. Plus with the cradle I never really worry about the battery being a problem since I just plop it in place till I head out again.

I never take my 3DS off of the charger so I've never had a problem.

I have to agree, the battery gives me about a whole days worth of standby and on/off music listening, while also allowing for some game time here and there. I gotta say I'm pretty satisfied with the battery overall. Would I like more battery? Hell yeah! But there's just enough to get by on light play each day. The only time I ever have time to play for a really long time is at home, and my charger is always there when I need it to be.

I feel like **** if I play 2 hours worth of gaming, to be honest.

The think the longest session I've had was around 4 or 5 hours long (That was with Resident Evil 4)

I only play lot without access to a electrical outlet or car charger is really at the greek festival my church holds twice a year. I end up working 10 hour days 8 days a year, usually without power sources. I end up with 5 or 6 hours a day without people looking at the bookstore stand where i work, so I bring my 3DS, GB micro and PSP. If The 3DS had better battery life, I could play it more. there.

Back when I was still employed, the 3DS's battery life was perfect, really, especially when I dropped the brightness to four and turned on power saving. Playing it during breaks and after work was easy enough to handle.

Now that I'm looking for work, it's not enough lol.
