Especially pokemon white and black 2. All the kids will get it and DS games disable streetpass so i expect to get streetpasses less frequently. That sucks. Why wouldent they just make it on 3ds?

wouldn't they TC?

DS can be compared to the PS2 (Super successful systems). For awhile PS2 still had games coming out like the DS right now, even when its successor already came out.

Because the DS was a better system.

DSi XL to 3DS felt like a huge downgrade.

In what, the potential quality of games? That's all I care about, and 3DS is clearly better in that department.

Build quality? System design? Controls? Screen size?

None of which ever crossed my mind after first playing the 3DS, so any differences are negligible to me. Except for controls, in which case I prefer the 3DS.

But to be fair, I never had a DSiXL, just a DSi.

You should still notice the poor quality of the D-pad, the location of it, the power/start/select button and such.

The d-pad on DSi/XL and 3DS is identical. It's only awkward at first because it's located below the circle pad on the 3DS.
Play games, not systems. There are people who like games that you don't, grow up.

And the paint doesn't chip on the DSi XL's. And the location is pretty critical, but you'll see that when you play Rayman Origins on the 3DS and notice how awkward it is.
