Around here too, never had any problems.

Remember people: The ones who whine the loudest are the ones who are heard the most. It doesn't necessarily make them the majority.

Your average person is a moron. In general, morons tend to not have educational credentials. People without educational credentials congregate at jobs that do not require them, like clerk positions. Therefore, Gamestop, which has many clerk positions, will have an abundance of morons.

It's not anyone's "fault", it's just a fact of modern existence.

No, but after dealing with many Gamestops in several different states, a higher ratio of bad employees to good ones = a ****-tastic corporation.


No, but GS has about 10000 employees (the reputable site, Wikipedia estimates it at 17000 full-time in 2009), so even if you run into 1000 bad ones in 50 different states, the odds are good you'll find a good one.

I had a problem at my GameStop too. I went in a few hours ago at noon to pick up my pre-order, and was told by the clerk that they never even received their shipment of games to sell. They planned a midnight release for the game but had to cancel it. The clerk told me I should try coming back in an hour and see if the games arrive.

I drove home to eat and came back in an hour. As soon as I approach, I see the clerk leaving the store, and another clerk took his place. The other clerk told me the games still didn't arrive, but the other clerk drove across the mall's parking lot to another GameStop to see if they have any copies of the game and that he'd be back in 5-10 minutes. He showed up with a copy, thankfully.

It's pretty messed up that a driver delivering copies Kid Icarus Uprising didn't show up at my particular GameStop. I dunno if that's Nintendo's fault or the truck drivers. Luckily I got my code though. Those who didn't should check their receipts. The codes are printed on the receipts.
