If you never caught Tales of the Abyss or Ocarina of Time, I'd highly suggest those.

*sees NSMB2 and Pokemon Dream Radar, but no Samurai Warriors Chronicles or Devil Survivor: Over Clock*

Not a very good list...

Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
Theatrhythm
Kid Icarus Uprising
Resident Evil Revelations
Kingdom Hearts 3D

If you haven't already played them
Tales of the Abyss
Ocarina of Time

NSMB2 is a good game but not a must-have. The only reason I bought it was because I got it for $20, can't see myself paying $40 or even $30 for that. I haven't played Code of Princess yet so I can't comment on that.
What is faith then but persistent hope in the face of relentless doubt.
Now Playing: XCOM, Dishonored, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Final Fantasy 6

those are the only 2 must owns, since they have a high mainstream appeal.

I would agree with this to an extent. You guys are listing everthing good enough to play as a "must-have." Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, and probably Super Mario 3D Land are the only games so far that are kind of necessary as a 3DS owner because they're (relativley)big budget, AAA quality games made specifically for the system and use a lot of its original features creatively. Not to mention the following for each one, and the online components of the first two. And I'd say Pushmo is the only "must-have" eShop title for the same reasons.

That being said, there are still a lot of other great original games and remakes that could be worth checking out, I just wouldn't consider anything else "must-own."
