I recently purchased "Fantasy Life" as a download for my 3DS as it is sold out completely everywhere, and have noticed some 3-5 second load times.

I am just wondering how cartridge versions of games compare to the downloaded versions of games, and if these load times have anything to do with it.

thanks.

Actually, there is: while Cartridges have longer startup loading times, they tend to load faster overall, since the Cardridges are faster than SD Cards. But the difference is barely worth of note, so don't worry too much about it.

I've noticed bits of load time in the downloaded JP Animal Crossing, but it's nothing terrible.
