So should I try normal then. I want the optimal fire emblem experience, but I don't have much experience in these types of games.

Dont forget, weapons also have limited uses which tends to make people never use certain ones

you can only lose cameo charas and extras that don't really add much to the story

Which is why the whole perma-death gimmick is overrated. I won't be playing on casual, but the permanent death mechanic isn't a good one, just encourages resets. Valkyria Chronicles did it better.


I disagree it promotes a different kind of strategy if you want to beat the level with all of your units alive. It takes thought.

But kids these days don't want to think. They don't want to have to live with the consequence of a unit dying. They'd rather it be a little easier and less strategic.

Granted, I loved Valkyria Chronicles, but it was a different kind of SRPG.
