You want a smaller version than the original 3ds?

Lite ≠ Smaller

The 3DS Lite could be something thinner, with a better screen, more battery life and a design like the 3DS XL.

I don't understand why some people are against the idea of a new 3DS model, Apple releases a new iPhone every year and nobody complains.

How do you expect to get better battery life out of something that is thinner?

have you ever used a ds lite? they have tons more battery than the original ds

I see LOTS of people complain. And since Apple pushes out crap every few months, Nintendo should too? The original 3DS is already small. Any smaller and they wouldn't be able to fit crap in the shell.

Of course they can, if they make the chips smaller they can make the device thinner/lighter and maybe make room for a bigger battery.

Even if people complain, there's no reason for that, you don't need to buy a new iPhone/3DS.

What I'm looking for in a 3DS..

- longer battery life
- dual analogs built in
- improved screen quality (not necessarily bigger)
- make sure it has compatibility with DS games
- improve the compatibility quality of DS games
- have actual buttons on the start & select like the 3DS XL

So by "Lite" you mean an upgrade. Why didn't you just say upgrade instead?

The original size 3DS should be considered the "Lite" version when compared to the 3DS XL. So there you go. If you're talking about a redesign then you S.O.L. right now.
