I had accidentally dropped a 3DS in water, how will it take to charge back up?

I put a new battery in the wet 3DS and when I put it on charge the light still comes on, so my question is how long does it have to stay on charge to work again?

...Why would you turn it on when the thing is still wet? Let it dry out over a few days...Put it in a bag of uncooked rice to speed up the process.

I did let it dry for a few days, forgot to mention that. So how long would it have to be on charge to work again?

Out of curiosity, what open source of water were you using your 3DS over?

In that case, if it's dry and the battery is charged, you should be good to go.
