3 reasons: Backwards compatible(all my pokemon games look amazing on the 3ds compared to my DsL), FE:A(my new favorite 3ds game after just picking the series for the first time) and KH Dream Drop Distance. The cut scenes are just so good looking on the 3ds for every game. I can't wait to see what other games/remakes they come out with.
Now Playing: Vita - Gravity Rush, MGS HD Collection, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward
3DS - Fire Emblem: Awakening

The price drop to 170. Bought "SSIV" and "Zelda: Oot" that same day, haven't regretted it. I always play with the 3D off, but I'm glad it's an option, a great piece of technology.

The launch games may have been poor, but it's a launch and it can be hit or miss for any system. I know "Halo" was a launch game, and "Mario 64" was out on launch of the DS, so I waited anxiously

I bought mainly because of Zelda OoT 3D, Mario Kart & Super Mario 3D Land had been out. I also knew big first-party games were going to come in the future, and already, there have been some amazing games announced/released that I've yet to get, so it was definitely worth it for me. The 3D also really appealed to me because I can't watch the type with glasses without feeling sick (and it's awkward because I already have glasses). I don't use the 3D a ton, but it's a nice bonus.

I had a DS phat on 2004 and broke on 2008, I got a PSP after that so I failed to try some of the newer games (Pokémon HeartGold, Golden Sun, Dragon Quest IX, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, etc.) So I decided to get a 3DS to not only play the classic Nintendo games on the go, but also getting used DS games I haven't played at a dirt cheap price. I'm really satisfied with my choice because the PSP is not backwards compatible with the Vita, and there are close to no games that would actually make me buy a Vita.

I bought it just to play Resident Evil Revelations. Other than that game I never really touched my 3DS. I don't like Kid Icarus, Mario doesn't get me exited like when I was younger and I just enjoy my Vita more. Tho I must say the amount of titles coming for the 3DS really impresses me. I'm really excited for Ace Attorney 5 & PL Vs AA.

The only reason was Fire Emblem Awakening and Etrian Odyssey 3, at least back then.
