I never played a Paper Mario game before. Is this worth it for $20?

Like everyone's said before. The first Paper Mario was amazing. Second is even better (some might disagree.)

Then we got Super Paper Mario.. which is actually not terrible but it's not the Paper Mario people wanted.

This game is awful though. Not even worth 10 dollars.

I am thinking about getting this but I am not sure. I have Super Mario 3D Land, Luigis Mansion, and Mario Kart 7. I plan on getting Animal Crossing, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, Pokemon, and the new Zelda. Decisions decisions.

$20 for this new is a steal.

Most Nintendo games stay overpriced.

I definitely think its worth $20. I really enjoyed it. Is it perfect? No. But it's damn fun.

Worth the $20. Some loved it, some hated it. If you enjoy most games you play no matter what others think, you may enjoy this one. You could always buy it used at gamestop, play for a day and take it back the next day and decide if you like it not. Only you can decide what you like and want to play, happy gaming,

Eh, I bit at $20 when it was on sale there back in February. No regrets, since $20 is barely an investment for a 1st party title. Not the greatest game though, don't think I even got halfway before putting it down.
how do you turn this on?

Yes. This game is amazing. The people who don't like it are the ones who played the old ones and don't like how much has changed. You, being someone who hasn't played the old ones, are in a perfect position to love the game for what it is.

I never played the other games before and thought it was mediocre. The puzzles were ok but the combat was pointless, the sticker mechanic wasn't done well, the bosses sucked and the whole "Thing" sticker part was annoying. Even judging it as its own game for what it is, I didn't find much enjoyment.

I think 20 bucks is a great price for it. I thought the game was pretty fun. I never played the first two. Only the one for the wii, which I also thought was fun.

I enjoyed it, but I disliked the story due to how lacking it was, which is surprising for a Paper Mario game. But aside from that, I enjoyed the puzzles (some were dick-ish though) and the battles became more enjoyable when I got more powerful stickers. It just felt great to overpower enemies with awesome stickers. I actually liked the game enough to do its landmark achievements and complete the sticker library.

I will say though, the beginning and Chapter 1 really did not sit too well with me. Felt really boring, and only picked up once I got to Chapter 2 (which is surprising, I usually hate desert levels).
