I have $34 on my eShop account, are zelda 1, 2 and metroid good games to get for their prices? I'm going to be getting the Oracle games the second they come out, but are these three also good purchases?

No, no, and not really.

Link's awakening is a much better zelda game, and it's good training for Oracle, Zelda 1 isn't good, gameplay wise, especially by their prices now. If it's on sale, go for it, but it's not, so don't.

It depends. I love Zelda 1/2 and Metroid 1/2, but I will admit I needed a guide for all of those games. Get them if you're truly into retro games.

I'd say get Link's Awakening DX first if you haven't as Binba said, and I can't wait for the Oracle games myself.

Well I'm a fan of those games and have been for over 20 years. So I'd say yes to all three of them.

I've got links awakening on my GBA. I've never played these, except for the demos in Brawl? What are the prices, btw? Don't have my 3ds with me.

You should get them anyways if you want to have fun. Just keep in mind that Zelda II is essentially like an RPG. The way to go with this game is to grind each stat up to level 8 (especially HP) and finding every spell is important then the game from there is a walk in the park. Sometimes the game's villagers give you vague hints that seem unhelpful to many people but often you will run into someone revealing a secret. If the game gets too hard don't be ashamed to Google a detailed map of the over world. it should make the game a lot easier or at least much more clearer.

If you don't already commonly play Nes then try just one of them for awhile, I recommend Zelda 1.
I personally think Zelda 2 in weird and too frustrating.

I had an NES but, alas, it has entered the void... My sister pushed a cart down too hard... This was before I became a gamer, I was maybe four... My mum smashed one of our carts because we were fighting over it. Lol. I think it was DKC.

I love games of all kinds, so I can say without terrible bias that they are (in my opinion) very fun games. outdated, but fun.
Only stupid people make generalizations. No exceptions.
