Would you advise I buy Mario NSMB2 or Luigi's Mansion?

I also have some money on my eShop account if there is anything out there.... :)

In Luigi's Mansion 2, you do have to get use to the controls for a bit, but that shouldn't take you too long. I'd say 1 hour maximum before you're comfortable aiming with his vaccum in different directions while doing all sorts of maneuvering. IMO Luigi's Mansion 2 is a much more superior game than NSMB2, and could be twice as long for 100% completion.
There's no point telling stupid people that they're stupid. They're too stupid to know that they're stupid. Wasted effort.

Tetris.

Or any of the GBC Zeldas (the Oracles are being released next month). You can save anywhere in those games.

NSMB2 is perfect for a typical "pick up and play" game.

It's older (comparatively) but Pokemon Rumble Blast is good for the pickup and play. Short levels great especially if you're a commuter.
