It depends, you can register anything but some games won't give you coins any more. Just punch in the codes from the papers in each game's box and see what they'll give you. You should be able to register your Wii still (I registered a Game Boy Micro about 2 years ago, which is almost 6 years after it came out, but it didn't give me any coins) but any digital games already on it can't be registered retroactively.

Yes you can still register them.

yes you can. While the Wii may not give coins the games will.

I just registered a used copy of spirit tracks I bought the other day and it gave me 30 coins. So ds games work still. Provided they have unregistered codes of course.

I'm waiting until after platinum resets in July so I can reup my platinum w Wii and ds codes in addition to my unregistered 3ds games.

yeah I was confused about that, I registered all my stuff and I'm gold with 520 coins but I don't see what being a gold or platinum adds

At the end of the Club Nintendo year, which is June 30, if you've reached gold or platinum status, they'll send you something.

Edit: Gold Status is a calender most of the time.
Platinum has varied year to year. A set of posters or a deck of Mario themed playing cards were the previous year's rewards.
