Should I get the 3DS version or the HD version of the game? - Results (154 votes)
3DS version.
47.4% (73 votes)
HD Version
52.6% (81 votes)
This poll is now closed.
The things the HD version of the game has over the 3DS version are the improved graphics and load times, as well as a few new features like a new difficulty, a new enemy, and added features in raid mode(also Miiverse compatibility in the Wii U version).
However, what the 3DS has over the HD version is that it's $30 cheaper(at least in the eshop anyway). That's quite a price difference.
So what do you say? Should I get the cheaper 3DS version or the upgraded HD version?

I personally think it's really overrated. It's also really short so why not just pay $20 for it?

HD for sure, this is one of those games I don't think belong on a handheld.

Plus the HD version has many improvements, like a better hard mode, new enemies and an improved raid mode.

I'd say 3DS just because the differences between it and the console version aren't really enough to warrant a $30 mark-up. The graphics already look amazing on the 3DS and there's enough content to keep you busy for a long time.

Word to the wise, though, it is the biggest eShop game, at over 25,000 blocks (over 3GB) so you'll be blowing a lot of SD card space if you opt to download it.

That being said, if you're looking for the biggest challenge possible (the new difficulty and random enemy/item placement) and the most characters in Raid Mode, you should go for the console version.

Really, you can't go wrong with this decision, it's a great game either way. You just have to decide if what could've essentially been $10 extra DLC + HD graphics is worth $30.

I do think it's overrated, but I'd still go for the Wii U version.

Get the 3ds version. A couple extra gimmicky features aren't worth paying full price for imo. Besides, the game looks fine without the HD.

Console. Game was meant to be played on a big screen. Horror games on handhelds do not work unless they are story novels.

As for the price. No one is forcing you to buy it now. Te console version will drop in price faster than the 3ds version did. Guarantee it will be cheaper than the 3ds version by the end of the year.

Get the HD version for sure. It's updated for, well, HD so it is still going to look really nice, it has more story content, and more extra content as well. Plus if you get it on the 360 or PS3 it has achievements/trophies!
