I have the original 3DS and been waiting for one with a second analog with fixed current 3DS issues.

I really don't think it's going to happen...

There will never be one with a second circle pad. Never.

There will be another revision. It won't have a second circle pad.

It won't even have the first circle pad. You'll need to buy the circle pad pro in order to play games normally.
Not bad. But I was hoping for the unknown drug Purupurupikopuyo.

I really have no idea what another revision could do that would make sense to the average consumer... other than the second circle pad which won't happen...

More than a year or so ago, I thought that's what people were wanting?
Has that died now?

I mean, we have a Circle Pad Pro for both versions.

What's with the almost-define answer of "it won't have a second analog"?

Because, it would alienate the fanbase? There's barely any games that even use the second analog to begin with.

Mainly, it would split the user base. The vast majority of systems would not support two sticks, and thus developers wouldn't be inclined to design for it. It's also just not that necessary or desired -- look how under-supported the CCP is now.

Remember that there were four versions of the GBA and four of the DS. Nintendo isn't about to stop at two.

GBA:
original
back light (the second SP revision was pretty minor, a brighter screen)
micro

DS:
brick
normal
camera/eshop
large

3DS:
normal
large
????

I dunno man. What could they meaningfully do?
