I think you should do like all us old-school fans. 2D Zelda first, then 3D Zelda. Both A Link Between Worlds and Ocarina 3D are perfect picks to start with either gameplay style, so go for the latter after playing the former.
Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.
Either is fine. Maybe flip a coin or something, but OoT was my introduction to the series and I have loved it ever since. Or I agree, you could go for the 2D to 3D perspective and see some of the series progression that way. They're both great games.
