Does anything bad happen if you turn off a 3DS during a system transfer?

I recently sold my OG 3DS to a pawn shop. I used the money to buy an XL. I totally forgot I needed my other 3DS to get my games on my XL. So I went to the pawn shop and they were nice enough to lend me my old 3DS and do a system transfer in store! But the kicker... they closed down early and I didn't know the transfer would take so long. They had take my old 3DS back and I had to leave. I had to force the 3DS by holding the power button down. They said I could come back tomorrow and start over though.

I am worried because I had to stop it halfway through. Should I even go back?

As long as the XL's internal memory wasn't formatted yet, you should be fine. Hopefully. What was being moved when you shut it off?

I shut it during step 3. It was transferring the "Built-in Software".

How far along was the move? (%)
Hopefully nothing's messed up. Did you turn your XL back on yet?

Well, if you already tested it and it's fine, you're answer is right there: both systems are fine, and you've got nothing to worry about. Try the transfer again when that pawn shop is open again. The transfer takes around 10-20 minutes. Good luck!
