Just wanted to do a screen check. It's mostly random in standard editions but in some cases like the Pokemon 20th Anniv. N3DS which were universally dual IPS Nintendo ships special editions with similar screen types.

I don't think it matters. IPS won't change the fact that the 3DS has s***ty visuals and specs. Just saying.

It may not be HD or anything but I like how nice the colors look on IPS screens.

Well just got mine and It's a dual TN, not a problem at all, at least the screens match which is usually what bothers me more.

How come nobody can ever answer the question instead of being all "who cares?" Well anyway looks like you figured it out. Sorry GameFAQs is so useless

Many people - I, too - want to know the fate of early adopters...

That's quite important indeed, I mean if both screens diplay similar or identical white balance or temperature. Also, some people have reported (since New 3DS Black Friday) that the latest TN panels were greatly improved in colour accuracy; that could be, perhaps, even more valuable than oversaturation with a dire lack of dynamic range (IPS screens). Not to mention better battery life and less dead pixels!?
