See also: casino games where uber equipment is locked behind hours of slot machines or poker. OMG. If I wanted to play hours of poker or slot machines, I'd buy a game centered around that

These are the ones I like the least, for the same reasons. It sucks that on FR/LG that's the only way to get a Porygon but at least those slot machines seem more cooperative than the ones on Emerald; thankfully no Pokemon are bought with coins so I can just skip that part. On Super Adventure Island 2 you also get a whole equipment set by playing at a casino, and of all 3 games I surprisingly find the slots the most helpful.

Mandatory minigames are fine as long as the requirement isn't too high and the minigame isn't that difficult (especially anything with button-mashing or stick-rotating).

What? Ppl actually played in the slot machines to get the prizes of Game Corner?

Yes, because they’re fun.

It’s boring to just buy coins
Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash are great games and don't deserve the hate they get, even if the other three are better.

You would hate Mario Party, then.

Also, puzzles as well?

nope love Mario Party cause thats the point! a mini game is not a puzzle, it may have puzzling qualities though.

I don't mind mini games. What irks me are forced mini games.

Though I did like a chapter dedicated for Tin Pin Slammer.
The consequences of erudite vernacular utilized irrespective of necessity.
As known as making oneself appear imbecile by using big words to impress people.

Mandatory (or nearly so) minigames means I'm going to dogpile it until I get the thing, then never bother again.
