The 3DS came out back in what, 2012? 6 years is a long time and there's been big advances in hardware. When are we going to see the 4DS?

It's the Switch. Though I know that at this point, the Switch is a terrible handheld successor to the 3DS.

I don't know if Switch has the capability to cover the handheld market. The 3DS has a niche at a particular price point and if Switch would not have budget versions, it would fail to capture the 3DS market.
If your pathetic, hollow existence can serve no other purpose,
then I shall devour your flesh, drink your blood, and leave you the night soil of Niflheim.

switch.

Switch isn’t even something to drool over. It’s like a powerful Wii U but portable. Ohhh wow. Ahhh. Amazing. No, it’s not. I am being sarcastic.

I think they're gonna shrink the switch and give it a more portable form factor. It'll have the same specs and play the same games.

How big is the 3DS-specific market, though? No, I'm not talking about the current number of active 3DS users, but the number of those who wouldn't be able to move on to Switch or are not content with settling for gaming on phones.
