I bought Skyrim on PS3.
Then I bought Skyrim on PC.
Now I'm buying Skyrim on Switch and PSVR.
I don't even see this as a problem, it's a good game.

Also I had to rebuy my entire PS4 collection in digital form,
I wound up just pawning them all for a handful of digital games.

I prefer digital games, I like building up a really massive collection.

If I sell something and then want it later down the road, or if I have physical that I get rid of and want a digital version. Sometimes I'll buy another version if a multiplat if a different version has compelling features. I double dipped a lot when I first got my PC so I could play a lot of games I enjoyed at max settings.

Sure, otherwise you can't play the old games unless you have every single system out all the time. This isn't a calling gamers dork things, just a factual life things, your house can't be a video game museum. It doesn't work well

Same, except for Xbox instead of Playstation.

I also bought the first Plants vs Zombies on PC, Xbox 360, DS, and Android. And yes, I actually played and beat it on all those platforms.

If I no longer have the system I’ll rebuy such as the nes games or if I already own it on pc and it’s available on handheld then I’ll buy it too.

I love the Final Fantasy games. I despise the fanbase.

Absolutely! I do it because one day, those systems and games will eventually stop working. Its really no different then buying your favorite movies on dvd after your videotape or vcr player has started screwing up.

I do it when they're remakes with different features, such as Final Fantasy IV for GBA

That's a downgrade with extra features

Many times, for these three reasons : it's a game I adore, it's a remaster, it's another reason to play

DKC Returns on 3DS (for portability, new levels)
Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on 3DS
Bioshock Collection
Metroid Prime Collection
Borderlands Handsome Collection
Last of Us Remastered
Okami HD
God of War HD Collection
many Virtual Console and PSone games

and many more.
the way out is through
