I only just realized you can tell which items at Redds gallery are fake just by looking at them...out of all the time I spent playing WW I NEVER got a single authentic painting! I only noticed it this time around because my lit teacher brow beat me into doing a paper on greek and roman art and I noticed a baby missing from the motherly statue/Capitoline Wolf.

Did this happen to anyone else?

I actually think this is the first game where there's a visible mistake in the forgeries. I could be wrong, but I don't believe there was any way to tell in previous games.

It's definitely amazing to be able to spot the real ones, though. And he thankfully always has at least one real one every time he visits this time around.

I remember in City Folk, I literally had a 6 month period without a single genuine painting... - A Mayor's Tale
A daily look at the trials of an Animal Crossing mayor.
