Keep your eyes on what items the AI gets. If you see a Blue Shell, be ready to slam on the breaks and let one NPC pass you lol. Unless of course you're almost at the finish line, in which case you're probably screwed.
Wishing for Monster Hunter Tri G localization!

"Getting first place" as it stands is really not a big feat. You just need to drive remotely well and take advantage of most of your opportunities to mini-turbo, and avoid excessively falling off of the track. If you do poorly enough, a star or bullet bill will go a long way in helping.

Depending on the way your AI opponents play, coming in second or third place doesn't necessarily hurt your standing when it comes to winning the entire cup, either.
An infant sea turtle is actually capable of killing an adult African bull elephant. It does, however, require a substantial amount of surprise.

Stop using a High Speed Kart because the AI is going to be able to outspeed you anyways.

Use a High Acceleration, High Handling Kart. You'll soon realize how great it is for GPs.

Try to remember who the main contenders are on your leaderboard. If whoever is right behind you in standings is only a few points behind, sabatoge any chance you get.

This is the best advice you can take for it.

TC, my tips for you are as follows. the CPU is cheap and has been proven to cheat. Get cheap on them, drift every corner for power slides . Press R to jump at the edge of each ramp, this also includes bumps in the road, it will boost you indefinitely. You can literally create a boost by pressing R for the slightest bump in the road .Most importantly play with 3D mode on, I have found that it dumbs the AI for some reason, it's a fact see for yourself.
