Even though the graphics aren't improved too much, the remake looks a lot smoother than the original.
Is this just me?

Yes. Ocarina of Time is running in 60 sexy frames per second.

Heck even just 30 would be good. The original only used 20 (and ~17 for PAL...)

^ Um, the PAL version of OoT runs at the same speed as NTSC. It's not the NES days, lol.

Not necessarily, no, but why would a PAL version running in 60Hz mode have a lower framerate? I reckoned you were suggesting that it'd been slowed down a bit, like those old downclocked NES/SNES games, which in turn would lower the amount of frames per second. My bad there, but do enlighten me as to why it's still running with less frames, then. Doesn't seem logical.

Come to think of it, I'm saying this assuming that PAL OoT even has a 60Hz mode, but then again I'm not quite sure. It's been a long time.

I've lived in the US my whole life and haven't ever touched anything PAL and I still know that Nintendo's first system with PAL60 games was the GameCube. Heck even PAL N64 VC games are 50Hz.

You don't really need more than 30fps for something like a Zelda, but it should be running at a perfect 60, seeing as it barely looks any better than a N64 game.

If you had watched the trailer for OOT3DS, you would have noticed, it has way better graphics than the N64 version.

Watch closely, its very close to Wind Waker graphics but a little more realistic like TP but with celshade in some areas.

Also 60FPS doesnt always make the game great like DBZ Raging Blast 2 is 60FPS and to alot of fans, personally I never played it but Ive heard it goes WAY TOO QUICKLY for alot of the fans who are use to Budokai Tenkaichi series or RB1.

FPS does not refer to how quickly the game moves. It is the smoothness of animation.
