Super Mario RPG

That's an awesome first RPG. Did you also play Chrono Trigger or Earthbound around that age?

Chrono Trigger yes. Earthbound nope.

Same here. I didn't get to play Earthbound until I discovered emulators.

The legend of Legaia...actually the legend of Legaia demo that came with the official playstation magazine. After I played that I saved up chores money for weeks and eventually was able to buy it. It was also one of the first games i saved up myself to buy. i usually just rented games and got games for holidays and birthdays. I remember telling my dad I couldn't wait haha. First step into JRPGs.
Currently playing: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, DMC: Devil May Cry, The Legend of Dragoon

Pretty sure it was Super Mario RPG way back before I ever owned a console.
Apparently wasn't very subtle in making it known how bored I was at family events, so they locked me in a room with something to keep me occupied...
Being bratty and getting rewarded...good times.

Umm, hmm... Does Shining Force count?

Yes, it should, and it's my first RPG too. Well, Shining Force II, actually.
