The DS's swan song and a very good one at that.

Story 7.5/10

An evil wizard named Necrodius splits Kirby into 10 pieces and then defeats all but 1 of them. The last Kirby escapes and must defeat Necrodius and return himself to normal.

Gameplay 9.5/10

Much like canvas curse before it mass attack is touch screen controlled. You start with 1 kirby and gradually build up your gang by eating fruit. Each type of fruit gives points and once you get 100 points another Kirby is born! However you can’t play just any stage as each stage has a number on it, which tells you how many Kirbys are needed to enter the level. (There is always a level that you can enter though even if you have only 1 Kirby). This is good as it prevents you from entering levels that require more Kirbys then you currently have.

Depending on how you do in a level you are given a star. If no Kirbys take ANY damage you get a Gold star. Getting a gold star in all levels is brutal but possible.

The level and enemy variety is shockingly diverse and gives you the impression that the makers of this game have an Obsessive-compulsive desire to make this game as diverse as possible. The bosses and mini bosses are extremely creative and they like the rest of the game will make you think just how much effort went into making this game great.

Besides the main quest there are 6 minigames including a mini RPG and a pinball table. All of them are very fun and well worth playing.

Graphics 9.5/10

Cute colorful sprite based graphics that are very pleasing to the eyes.

Audio 9.5/10

Great catchy music that always is fitting for the level your in. and there is plenty of variety in the music as well with there being dozens of different tracks the play in the game. There is a sound player so you can listen a track at you leisure once you’ve played level that has that music in it.

Replay value 10/10

With 186 medals to collect, 35 achievements, 6 minigames, and plenty of unlockables you will spend a long time with this game.

Value 10/10

A good long adventure with lots of unlockables and replay value and minigames is definitely worth 35$.
