This game is very fun! You are a person looking for the dog that is right for you. If you're looking for a dog but, you just don't like cleaning up messes, Nintendogs is your game. There are three versions to Nintendogs. Each version has its own set of dogs. There is Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Labrador.
The gameplay is okay. In nintendogs, you can go for walks, contests, shopping, teach your dog tricks, and many other things. When you go for walks your puppy might find a few presents for you. You can also go meet another person's dog by using bark mode. You can also trade items by using bark mode. You make money by going to contests. There are Obedience trials, Agility Trials, and Disc Competitions. Even though there are all of these things, it gets kind of boring doing the same thing all the time.
The sound is pretty good. It has some catchy music and the sound of the dogs barking is pretty good. The music fits the mood of the game. Nothing to special about the sound though.
The graphics are terrific. The game is in 3D and everything looks very realistic. So you can see that cute little puppy face. The people look kind of strange though but it only shows two humans in the whole game. They look sort of like they are made of Play-Doe. Other than that, the dogs looks nice and fluffy. The backgrounds are another flaw. Other than that, they're excellent.
The controls are very simple. Thanks to the touch screen, all you pretty much do is tap what you want to do. Sometimes when doing Agility trials, when you're tapping the touch screen as fast as you can, your dog sometimes does the wrong thing. The only thing that you use the buttons for is the camera. Controls are very, very good.
Bottom line 8/10
This is a game that I think every DS owner should have. Especially, if you want a dog but you can't afford on right now. It's only thirty dollars at most stores so it's definitely worth it. Buy it!
