    Densetsu no Stafi 4 for Nintendo DS "FAQ/Walkthrough"

    BE SURE TO READ THIS FIRST PART! You can read this faq as long as you
    don't change ANY part of it (including this small introduction). Also,
    you can print it but only for use at your home, you may NEVER sell
    this stuff or else you will make me really mad and maybe I won't work
    anymore! Finally, if you want to use this faq on your site (or use
    any part of it for other things, like writing your own faq or something)
    you have to mail me and ask me for it, I will almost surely grant it to
    you! But no, it can NEVER be used at CheatCC !

    Hum, it's been a while since I've last wrote a complete FAQ/Walkthrough.
    I *knew* I had to do this one, as I simply loved the last "Densetsu no
    Stafi 3" adventure for the GBA. While I will try to give as much possible
    information about this game as I can, there's a single thing I won't be
    able to provide in this guide, as I simply HATE writing that type of
    information: an enemy guide. Besides that, you will find in here
    everything you need to play this game, either if you are a native japanese
    reader or a random person without any knowledge of such language. Surely,
    I hope you enjoy reading this guide as much as I enjoyed writing it.

    1~. Controls

    Here are the controls of this game. While some of them are already
    acessible initially, most of these will be unlocked as you play the
    adventure, and when that happens you will generally see a sign which will
    explain how to use that new move. However, and since most people may have
    problems with those (they are obviously written in Japanese), this section
    will tell you about them. Now, just be sure to have in mind that there are
    some powers specific to Stafi and others that only Stappi can use.

    ----------------- ANIMALS

    -- FEMALE SEAHORSE, which you can move around, use A to jump and B to hit
       (FIRST SEEN ON LEVEL 2-2).

    -- FLYING BEAR-LIKE CREATURE, which you can move around, and use B to
       shoot some missile-like things (FIRST SEEN ON LEVEL ?-?).

    -- LAMP FISH, which you can move around and use A to lighten up the path
       (FIRST SEEN ON LEVEL ?-?).

    -- PIG CREATURE, which you can move around, use A to jump, Y (with
       direction, if you want) to throw something, B to scare an enemy (hold
       it to run) and L or R to switch to the other creature below (FIRST
       SEEN ON LEVEL 8-1).

    -- PINK CREATURE, which you can move around, use A to jump, Y (with
       direction, if you want) to throw something, B to scare an enemy (hold
       it to run) and L or R to switch to the other creature above (FIRST SEEN
       ON LEVEL 8-1).

    -- LEFT and RIGHT can be used to move OUTSIDE of the water.

    -- LEFT (or RIGHT) + A can be used to jump in that direction.

    -- Using the technique stated in the paragraph above, you can also press A
       at the end to perform a bigger jump.

    -- DOWN can be used to make your character crouch.

       action which damages enemies (LEARNED ON LEVEL 7-3).

    -- In the middle of one of those double jumps, press DOWN + B in order
       to come down with an arrow-like attack. (LEARNED ON LEVEL 8-2?)

    ----------------- SUPPORT

    -- Select the first icon (by pressing L or R) and hold Y, it regenerates
       your health for some time (LEARNED AT LEVEL 2-4).

    -- Select the second icon (by pressing L or R) and hold Y, it randomly may
       turn your enemies into coins OR into poop, which damages you (LEARNED
       AT LEVEL 5-3).

    -- Select the third icon (by pressing L or R) and hold Y, it turns Stappi
       invencible for a while (LEARNED AT LEVEL 8-3).

    -- Select the third icon (by pressing L or R) and hold Y, Stafi and
       Kyorosuke will appear and they will be able to move up A LOT (LEARNED
       AT LEVEL 9-3).

    While this may not exactly seem to have a lot to do with controls, there
    are three notices I must give you about this game, since (and I bet most
    of the people reading this are fans of the previous games) it is not
    always very obvious.
    First, one of the major changes is that Stafi's (or Stappi's, t
    his time
    we can once again play with her) life is now seen by you in a bar format.
    Second, and related to the "support" information above, there is now a SP
    bar seen under your life, which is filled by collecting a new type of
    "money" or destroying enemies. This is fully used by any of the 3 special
    attacks that each character has and you will need to fill the SP bar once
    again if you want to use any other of them.
    Finally, there's now a map to be seen on the lower screen of the console,
    turning the game into something way easier than before.

    This is all you need to know before finishing reading this section and
    starting to play...

    2~. Walkthrough's initial notes

    First, I must start by stating that this isn't a step-by-step walkthrough.
    I mean, I will not be stating exactly *everything* you must do, but I'll
    give you general lines instead. C'mon, I doubt most of you want to read a
    "go up and gives five steps to the left" based walkthrough of this game!
    However, I will try to state as much possible information about each of
    the levels, their targets and perhaps even the names of some of the
    characters, if I consider them to be important.
    As you can see the full walkthrough is split into two parts. The first one
    covers from when you first input the game into your console up to some
    moments after the final boss is defeated. The second one covers everything
    after that (not so) final boss battle.
    Finally, despite some things are not included in here, I think you should
    consider them as common knowledge in all games: save a lot and save often,
    get as many of those "coins" (you know, those balls with a star inside
    them!) as you see in the levels, explore the levels as much as you can,
    and so on.

    Now, on to the real thing...

    2.1~. Walkthrough, PART 1

    Before even starting, you can see the place with all the guys, in which
    you should tap the purple shell in order to continue. Then, pick slot 1
    or 2 (this will be the place where your savegame will be stored) to
    continue, but you can also click the green option to copy one of the
    savegames and the red one to erase one of them. Obviously, in here you
    just need to click one of the slots (in case you are wondering, I picked
    1) and you will start playing.

    It all starts with a tutorial by Kyorosuke. You can advance in the text by
    tapping the stylus (or pressing A). Eventually he will stop talking, and
    despite you could actually learn some things in here, they are all in
    japanese. Now, you should simply press B and pick the upper option ("hai",
    which means yes) to continue.
    You'll see a large red "!" near a familiar guy (if you already played the
    series before...), who you should tap with your stylus. Story will
    continue and as usual you can just skip it. You can tap the girl with pink
    hair (with your stylus) at any time in order to save your game, but your
    first time with her will simply make a story sequence appear.
    Then, press the strange animal on the left side of the screen, some more
    story sequences and that's it. Now, you can finally go for your first
    level. In order to enter it, simply tap the pulsing blue square in the
    lower left corner of the screen.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-1 STARTS HERE

    So, here comes your first level. You just need to enter the door (press X
    in front of it to do it) on the right and you will really inside the
    "real" level, but be sure to get all the circle-shaped "coins" around. Do
    you see the red exclamation mark pulsing on the map, on the lower screen?
    That's where you need to go!
    The whole level is generally easy, you could press X to read the each of
    the signs but they simply teach you new gameplay features, all of which
    you can read in the "Controls" section of this same guide. You just need
    to keep on following the (only) path that this level has, but don't be
    upset if, the first time you leave the water, you see a platform above
    you and you can't seem to reach it. You can't do it *yet*, so you should
    proceed on your path to the right and following the path. When you
    eventually reach the "!" mark and get the object, head to the right and
    talk to the strange animal (by pressing "X" in front of it) and then
    picking the option in the left.
    You will be teleported to the starting point of this dungeon, so you just
    need to enter the purple cave and you complete the level.
    When you are back to the town-like place, talk to the same character as
    before (the red one) and you will give him the item that you recovered,
    receiving a new cloth for Stafi.

    Now, you will be back to the town-like place, seeing 2 new places. One can
    be seen below the lake and can be used to try new clothes on Stafi (and no,
    you can't use them in the middle of the levels, just on that screen) and
    the one in the upper right corner is used to talk to yet another character
    of the game. Talk to all the ones who have the "!" and you will be able to
    continue, just press the lower left blue square as before.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-2 STARTS HERE

    Another easy level, as you may have seen from the story sequences you just
    faced in here you need basically do to 2 things: you need to defeat that
    bad (and yet small) blue shark-like creature and also retrieve an item.
    Such task is indeed easy and you won't have any type of problems with this
    level (the large white squares can be pushed by running into them), apart
    from defeating the blue shark-like creature, which you should do before
    trying to get the item (you CAN'T get it before doing so). Oh, and you can
    now strike enemies by pressing B! There's a door with a snake symbol on
    top of it, which you can ignore for now, as it only contains some coins.
    Well, just play the level until you find him in a room where the doors
    suddenly close, making you stuck inside it. Now, find the huge metal ball
    which is hanging from one of the ceilings and hit its chain a few times.
    The ball will drop, blocking one of the paths. Follow the other creature
    and eventually it will get stuck in that area, making you able to easily
    hit it with some strikes from the B key. After defeating it, take the
    lower door in that room and proceed in that path, ignoring the teleporter
    creature (for a minute only) and finally getting the item in the nearby
    area, before talking to the creature and, as before, press the option in
    the left. Take the grotto back to town, as before.

    There, talk to the animal which now contains the "!" and you will complete
    this level, getting another suit for Stafi. A new character will appear in
    the map (her name's "Materu", if I recall correctly) and you should talk
    to her, action which will unlock a new level. I bet you already know how
    to enter it, right?

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-3 STARTS HERE

    Start by using the floating power you just acquired to easily go from one
    platform to the other. On the top of the first area, there's a cave
    surounded by stone be sure to explore it, as it contains an item which
    increases your maximum health by 10. Then, go back to this main area and
    continue heading to the right and following the (only path) possible, you
    will need to jump a lot but eventually you will reach a locked door. From
    there, go up and enter the first room. You will notice that the platform
    on top contains 2 symbols, 1 wall and other two symbols, kinda like this:
    1  2  |  3  4
    You must destroy them in the following sequence: 2, 3. Leave 1 and 4
    alone, head outside and go up once more, taking the many platforms you
    will find and entering the next room. In there, you will find the
    following symbols across the room:
            4
    1  2    3
    This time, destroy 1 and 4 and, if you did everything as I told you, you
    will see the previously locked door opening. As it is obvious, you should
    now go all the way down and enter that door, which will take you to the
    last room. In there, get the chest on the upper right corner and then talk
    to the teleporter animal, making once more your way into town.

    Go talk to the same girl (you know, Materu!) as before, who will allow you
    to get this chest, which contains another suit. Another "!" will appear,
    and obviously you should go there and talk to that character, which will
    make a boss appear (HIM? AGAIN? How many times do we need to beat him? A
    zilion times?) and unlock the next level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-4 STARTS HERE

    When you know what to do, this turns out being quite easy. First, you will
    notice that each room in this area contains a blocking rock, with a
    certain number of balls in there. Depending on how much balls there are in
    there, you will need to find that number of tablets on that room and
    perform a certain action near them to destroy them. It0s not hard to
    remember all of them, just think of the actions we've learned until now
    and you will do it in no time. Keep on advancing in the many rooms and you
    will face your first boss battle!
    The battle isn't very hard (... I should even refuse to comment this one),
    you should start by hitting it in the head as many times as possible when
    he is near the ground, if he stars floating you must over the water and
    try to hit him some times in the head, when you see dust falling from the
    top of the screen be sure to avoid it, as you will be hit. Mainly, your
    target here is trying to hit the head as quickly and as many times as
    possible BUT while avoiding the opportunities in which your enemy tries to
    cover his letter.
    Eventually you will beat him (it isn't hard at all!), winning a new suit.
    After that, you will be seeing two options, pick the one in the left to
    save your game and continue playing.

    Once more you will find yourself in town, with a new character symbol
    appearing. While the icon appears to be a strange one, as usual you should
    just head to that location and see the new cutscene, which now includes a
    strange character never seen in the Stafi universe. Eventually this will
    lead into your first mini-game and a whole new area for you to explore
    (well, you wish! <_< ). In case you have any trouble with the mini-game
    (which I strongly doubt), read the "mini-game" section of this guide, as
    it is explained in there. When you are given two choices, the first one
    can be used to train the mini-game and the second takes you to the real
    thing, allowing you to watch a new storyline movie (is that a huge crab or
    what?) and all that.

    After that, you'll see a new place with lots of icons and a new one, which
    contains the usual red "!". Talk to that character and you will be allowed
    to play a new level, by tapping the lower left corner, as usual.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-1 STARTS HERE

    Yey, you will now be playing with Stappi, Stafi's sister! Your target is
    acquiring the items in the points marked with a red "!" in the map of the
    lower screen, so you just need to take the door inside water into a new
    room. In there, hit the rolling switch in the left (which goes to its
    original position across time) and then move into the many doors of that
    area. You will find several pieces in there, but you have to attack the
    ones with 5, 8 and 2 (one in each room that contains pieces) and then you
    can go back to town. Talk to the same character as before and you will
    give her the pieces, getting a chest back and opening the store, which can
    (by now) be seen on the upper right corner of the screen.

    Now, while you are in the city, you may notice that there is another red
    "!" in front of the face (FACE? WTF? Trees aren't supposed to have faces,
    you know? :| ) of the huge tree. Obviously, you should go talk to it, in
    order to unlock a new level, which you should head to, next.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-2 STARTS HERE

    Simply follow the path, you will see the female seahorse for the first
    time (if you don't know how to control her, read the controls section of
    this guide). When you reach the next room, be sure to explore the doors
    on the left side (one of the doors in the next room, taking one of the
    entrances on that left side, takes you to a place where you can increase
    your life to 70) and then head to the exit in the lower right corner. Keep
    on following that path, another section with the seahorse, grab the chest
    in the next room and then head back to town.

    Talk to tree, you'll get a new cloth and a new character will appear. Talk
    to him (is this a monkey or what?), new level, head there, as usual.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-3 STARTS HERE

    Once more as Stappi, follow the path and, when possible, take the lower
    door. Follow the only path possible, ignore the door with the snake
    symbol and take the door at the top, which is hidden behind one of those
    pink clouds. Doing so will take you to the room from before, except that
    now you can get a whole lot of money. Then, move to the center, and now
    you should take the upper door (before you took the lower one, if you
    recal...), follow the path (you should make Stappi crawl in the brown
    doors that fall, to stop them from doing so) until you reach the end of
    the stage. Now, the problem is... there's no chest in there, what do we
    have to do? Simple, have Stappi crawl in the moving platforms, when she
    has a brush below her you have to move her to the right and left and the
    brush will clean the painting behind you. Keep on doing this until the
    painting is fully clean (when that happens you will see a message and the
    moving platforms will disappear) and then head back to town.

    Talk to the same character from before and you'll get... something! I
    forgot to check what it was! >_< Then, talk once more to the huge tree,
    pick the left option ("hai") when possible and you will be taken to a new
    level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-4 STARTS HERE

    Here, for the first time you will be playing with Stafi and Stappie. In
    order to switch between the two of them, simply find one of those bells
    and walk above it for a bit, it will ring and you will be taken to the
    other character. And yeah, for a moment I thought we were going to play
    this level with Kyorosuke... but back to the level, as soon as possible
    press the Red Orb with Stafi and then switch to Stappi. With her, follow
    the door in the right, go along with the brown bridges (the ones which
    fall), press the Blue Orb, follow the path up and switch to Stafi at the
    top bell. Follow the path previously blocked by the blue block, when
    possible switch to Stappi, go all the way down, press the Green Orb and
    switch to Stafi. With him, follow the path previously blocked by 2 green
    blocks, press the Red Orb and switch to Stappi. with her, go all the way
    up, press the Blue Orb (the same one you pressed before) and then switch
    to Stafi in the same place as the last time you pressed the specified orb.
    Follow to the right with Stafi and switch to Stappi. With her, head to the
    room on the upper right corner, press the Red Orb on the new room and then
    switch to Stafi in that same room. With our hero, go to he middle of the
    huge blocks in the right (you can now pass some of them, since the red
    ones are down) and press the bell. With Stappi, press the Green Orb and
    then switch to Stafi once more. With him, head to the right (you can now
    pass, since the green blocks are down) and enter the boss' room. Time to
    fight!
    When the huge crab appears, prepare for a battle. If your enemy is using
    all the bubbles, run away from him. If he starts jumping, try to avoid it
    by heading in the opposite direction to the one he is coming. When he
    (finally) is in the ground and shoots his claws up, be sure to avoid them
    and then hit his top section once. This will reveal something that
    resembles a piggie bank, which you should hit as many times as possible.
    Keep on repeating and he will easily go down, but be sure to use the
    newly acquired regeneration move (acessible by holding Y for a bit) if
    you need it. After the battle, pick the option in the left in order to
    save your game and continue playing.

    You will be taken back to main screen, where a new icon will (once again)
    be seen. Press the first option to continue, once again you will be facing
    the rose transportation mini-game. A new storyline cutscene will be seen,
    with an interesting owl now near the villan. After that, you will be in
    the third section of the game.

    There, you will see a character (yeah, the same fish from before) with a
    red "!", so you should go there and talk to her. In case you are
    wondering, that's the fish who Kyorosuke loves. After that sequence, yet
    another character will be seen, talk to her and you will unlock another
    level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-1 STARTS HERE

    Here, you have to find 3 clams, who look just like Kyorosuke but with a
    different color. On the biggest room, you will find that most doors are
    closed. Therefore, first you should go to the door in the left, follow
    that path until you find the green clam (for the windy part, just be sure
    tpo stand on the left side of one of those vertical platforms in order not
    to be pushed away), then return to the biggest room and take the door in
    the upper section, which is now open, for the purple clam. Finally, take
    the one in the right for the red clam. After getting these 3, go back to
    the town and talk to the person with the red "!".

    She will give you a new chest, after a rather funny scene. There's another
    person you should now talk to, do it and you'll find that this time she is
    just a monster in disguise. WTF is happening here? o_O Well, anyway, he
    will run away and you will have to play yet another level, acessible as
    usual.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-2 STARTS HERE

    One of those simple levels, in which you just need to reach a particular
    point in order to complete it. There's only one way to go by, so you
    should simply follow it and you will do just fine. I wonder how the
    enemies avoid the fast wind that you will find in some places of this
    level, but you can simply avoid it yourself by using the same strategy as
    before. On the place with lots of enemies blocking your path, simply hit
    the bombs (there are 1 or 2 in that sequence of enemies) and all of them
    will disappear, allowing you to pass. Continuing advancing, ignore the
    door with the snake symbol (as usual...) and simply advance until you
    reach the end of the level, where you will find the same fish from before,
    which you should touch, before heading back to town.

    In town, simply talk to the character you just rescued and the story will
    advance some more, after allowing you to get a new cloth and unlocking a
    new area. While this new area (which is now seen slightly under the
    store), doesn't contain anything important *yet*, this is the place where
    most of the things you unlock will be put. Stafi fans may recognize this
    place from previous games, it looks slightly the same as before.
    Now, the same character which you saw talking before level 3-1 will once
    more want to talk to you, which you should obviously do, for spotting
    another scene with the strange monster from before (which once again runs
    away) and unlocking a new level, which you should take next.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-3 STARTS HERE

    Same as before, you just need to reach the point of this level which has
    the red "!". However, this is another one of those levels in which you
    need to switch between Stafi and Stappi, so you should head to the first
    possible room and then switch to Stappi. With her, go up and spin on top
    of the first red platform, in order to send it to Stafi's side. With him,
    do the same thing to the second red platform, and you should then control
    Stappi and do it to the third platform, before quickly jumping to the door
    in the left, which you should enter with her. Continue heading to the left
    with her and into yet another room, where you should once more proceed to
    the right and enter yet another door. In that new room, send the first
    platform to the right side and then switch to Stafi, proceed with him into
    a new room, which is acessible at the top. Follow it as much as possible,
    and when you are in the right side of the same room in which Stappi is,
    make it so that every platform is in Stafi's side. You can do this by
    putting them all on Stappi's side and then sending them to the right side,
    starting from the top. Switch to Stafi and then have him climb all the way
    up and enter the door. On the next room, send the first platform on the
    left to the right side, climb the two platforms and send them from the
    right to the left, starting by the middle one and then sending the lower
    one. Return to the left side and climb the 3 platforms, getting the bow
    (and arrow) at the top and then returning to town.

    Deliver it to the same girl as before (the one who currently has the "!")
    and you will get a new cloth. After that, talk to her ONCE AGAIN and you
    will unlock another new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-4 STARTS HERE

    While here you "simply" had to go to the right, the door is closed.
    Therefore, you need to head to the left and follow that path as much as
    possible, until you find a room with some fishes which can't be normally
    defeated. There, you will find a canon in the upper right corner, which
    you should activate by attacking. Then, see all the fishes and attack the
    one who has larger spikes, which turns out being your enemy. He will flee
    but he will also open a door, which you should then take. Follow it until
    you find another room with a cannon (on the upper left side) and some
    fishes inside the water. Do the same thing as before and you will unlock
    another door, which you should obviously then take. Proceed until you find
    another room with fishes and a cannon, hit your enemy (as you did before)
    for the third time and then go back to the main area, now taking the door
    which was previously closed. Save the game and then head to the boss.
    Before the actual battle, you will see how the 3 transformations of this
    boss look like. Now, you just have to quickly see all the forms he turns
    into and you will notice that sometimes some other details (like the
    green ears) appear. When that happens, go near that enemy as soon as
    possible and then hit him 3 times. He will go away, and you should then
    repeat this same strategy until you defeat him, but be careful with the
    damaging arm he sometimes conjures to attack you.

    After the battle, save the game (option in the left) and you will be back
    to town, along with a new cloth. The usual transportation will also
    appear, you should take the mini-game and go into the next area for yet
    some more levels and another cutscene with the villan.

    Back on the new town, there's a new character with a "!" spot. As you may
    think, talk to him in order to unlock a new level, which you should visit
    next.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-1 STARTS HERE

    Follow the path until you can go left or right. Since the left side is
    still locked, head to the right one and follow the path until you find a
    strange device, which you should turn in clockwise motion. Just have Stafi
    stay in left side of it (considering its original position) and then turn
    it to the other side, in (like I said before) clockwise motion. Now, go
    back to the main room and go by the previously blocked path. Flip the
    devices in the new room and, when possible, exit to the lower right.
    Continue following that path until you flip a third device and then return
    to the room where the path has split up, taking this time the door in the
    left side of it, which you should follow until you reach the room with a
    purple shark in it. Here, the target is simply hitting his back a couple
    times, but be aware that he becomes more fearsome as you hit him. After
    defeating him, you'll get a message and you can go back to town.

    Talk to the guy who wanted the shark and you will get a new cloth. Then,
    you simply have to talk to the other guy who appears, action which unlocks
    yet another level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-2 STARTS HERE

    Simply follow the path and eventually you will reach a play with a big
    keyhole. Search further in that same area to find a key, which you should
    push until you can send it in the direction of the keyhole. This will make
    it disappear and allow you to follow that new path, an action which you
    should obviously follow. Continue following that path until you reach a
    place where you can see the notebook, which is the item required to
    complete this level. However, instead of trying to get it right now, go
    all to the left (in that same platform) and atack the ground below you.
    This will cause it to be destroyed and you will be able to enter a door
    below, which you should take to reach a secret area. Follow that path
    until you find yet another door, which you should enter. Destroy the
    ceiling above your position and go all the way up, to get one of those
    items that increase your maximum health by 10. Finally, return to the
    place where you've seen the notebook (or whatever that is) and get it,
    before heading back to the town.

    Get it back to the person who wanted it and you will get another cloth.
    Yet another character appears (its map image just reminded me of a
    bulbasaur!). You should take to it and then head to a new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-3 STARTS HERE

    Despite playing with Stappi, this level is indeed quite easy. Follow the
    only possible path (as usual, ignore the door with the snake symbol)
    until you find the places where some waves will push you back. There, you
    need to try dodging them (they will never come all at the same time) as
    you advance, and be careful until you enter the next room, where you
    should take the door in the left and continue following in that path. On
    the last room, be sure to avoid the flashing areas, as they seem to damage
    you. Head to the upper left section of that room and you will find a
    machine in there, hit it with a spin. There are other 2 of those machines
    you need to hit in that single room, do it and you will see the damaging
    flashing areas going away. Obviously, you can then head back to town.

    Talk to the same character as you did some time ago and you will be given
    a flower. Later, you give this same flower to Materu (uh, looks like
    somebody's in love!) and she will give you another chest. Lucky us, I
    guess... Simply talk to the next person and you will get the new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-4 STARTS HERE

    Here, you will for the first time get a new type of special area, where
    you will be playing with a flying-something that can shoot missile-like
    things. Apart from that, the level is pretty forward (there's not even
    any way you might get lost) and you will easily be able to reach the boss
    battle that is waiting you at the end.
    All his strategies are quite easy to dodge, but you will probably have an
    harder time with the one in which he grows up a lot (rocks will fall from
    the ceiling, the best way to dodge it is by quickly horizontally moving
    from one place to another) or the spikes one, where he shoots all the
    spikes from his body and then they will follow different patterns,
    depending on how much life your foe has. As you may suppose, he is only
    weak after shooting all the spikes in his body, when that happens you
    should go near him and hit him, usually 2 times but you can also try to go
    for 3 times, if you are REALLY quick, before his spikes grow back. It is
    not very hard, trust me, and if you bear these ideas on your mind you will
    do just fine!

    After the battle, save the game (option in the left) and you can continue
    playing. The transportation will appear, use it and get into the next area
    of this game of yours. Some more information of the villan's identity is
    revealed...

    When you find yourself in a new town, be sure to talk to the giant
    character with the "!" as soon as possible, as it will unlock another
    level for you to play.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-1 STARTS HERE

    You just need to reach the point marked with a red "!". The level isn't
    complex at all and you can easily do it, but as a side note, after
    touching the bell-like thing you simply speed up, as you need to reach the
    door before the ninja cat does. Besides that, you just need to advance
    further and further and eventually you will complete this level. When you
    reach a big room with two exits, take the upper one (well, the one in the
    left actually takes you nowhere important by now) to proceed. After
    getting the red ball, head back to town and you will complete the level.

    After talking to the other character once again, the huge fish will spit
    him out and you will get a new chest with a cloth inside. You'll then see
    another character with a red "!", talk to him and you'll see a really
    funny scene (well, I guess everyone's in love now...) and you'll unlock a
    new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-2 STARTS HERE

    Here, things start getting interesting. You see the green circle-like
    thing? That changes the entire position of the room, but you can't try it
    yet. Instead, head to the circle golden door and press X in front of it to
    enter. In the next room, change its position until the door is on the left
    and then enter it. In the new room, change it so that the door is on the
    upper side and proceed. In the next room, turn it so that you can go to
    the left and continue following the only possible path, as you will find
    one of those items that increase your maximum life by 10 at the end. From
    there, head back to the room with 4 exits and then go up. Follow that path
    and you will find a flower, get exactly in front of its light and you will
    see 3 balls appearing. Those are filled by being for a certain time in
    front of it, without leaving. You need to continue following the light
    until the end, where a message will be seen and you can then head back to
    town.

    In town, talk to the same character from before, press the option in the
    left to gain a new power and you will also get a new chest. Talk to the
    ninja cat from before, another cat will appear and one of the best scenes
    ever will be seen, before a new level is unlocked.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-3 STARTS HERE

    Start heading to the left and enter the door. Continue following all that
    path (it is not very hard) and eventually you will reach a cutscene with
    the purple ninja cat. After that happens, simply follow the red arrow and
    hit your enemy 3 times. After doing it, he will go away and you should
    head back to the main area, where you first turned left. This time, head
    to the right and continue following that path until you find the other
    cat, where you should the same strategy. After defeating him, go back to
    town.

    In there, talk to the ninja cats and you will get a new chest. After that
    scene, you'll be able to talk to 2 people. First, talk to Materu and
    you'll see Stafi going nuts. Then, talk to the ninja cat (yes, once
    again), Stappi will learn a new move and you will get to play yet another
    level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-4 STARTS HERE

    Go all the way and, using the newly-acquired ability that allows you to
    jump from one wall to the other, try going all the way up. When you see
    lots of enemies aligned, simply destroy a strange enemy seen nearby and
    use the line of enemies (who should have turned blue by now) to be able to
    jump from one wall to the other, eventually reach the door in the upper
    left corner. On the huge room, take the lower left room (you need to make
    the room turn, as before...), follow it up to the end and, before entering
    the next door, switch to Stafi. With him, follow the only possible way and
    with him, explore all the rooms in the next area, trying to destroy those
    monsters that enable the other ones to become blue. When you're done, head
    with him to the upper left room switch to Stappi before entering the door
    in the upper right corner. With her, go all the way up and enter the door
    at the upper left corner, which will eventually lead you to the boss
    battle.
    I will be having Stappi face this boss, but I wonder if it is actually
    possible to face it with Stafi... well, anyway, about the boss, he is not
    very strong. You simply need to avoid the bottom of the water-zone (he
    seems to have an attack which strikes that zone, a zone that eventually
    starts moving up o_O), dodge his attacks and attack the flying lips, when
    you see them. Trust me, it is not very hard and you can do it in no time.

    After this battle, save the game (option in the left, but I guess you
    already know it by now) and you will be back to town, along with a new
    cloth. The usual transportation will appear, take it to the mini-game and
    go into the next area for yet some more levels and the usual cutscene.

    Back on the new town, there's an area with a "!" spot, which just looks
    like an ice cream. Strangely, it is a talking ice cream, or... well, not
    really. After that sequence, a new level will be unlocked.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-1 STARTS HERE

    While advancing, ignore the door with a snake and continue going until you
    find a room with several ballons stuck in the pipes. From there, take the
    room down in the water and hit the machine when the red pointer is in the
    same place as the other one. Now, head back to the previous room and
    release a ballon (now) full of water, explore the room which you unlock
    with the baloon and find the other machine. Repeat until you release the
    ballon with the heart and advance to the next room. In there, get the
    item and go back to town.

    Deliver the item to the character from before and you will get a new
    chest and a new animal. Then, you should obviously talk to the new
    character who appears and go for the new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-2 STARTS HERE

    Follow the path, as usual, until you find a place with a brown platform.
    Take it to the left side of the screen, taking the next one to the right
    side and entering the door. After a while, you will see some magical
    carpets. In order to make them go up, you need to have Stappi simply
    jump many times, and while you are jumping the carpet will go slightly up,
    an opportunity you should take to go as up as possible, either if that
    means jumping to another rock, using the wall to go up or simply jump to
    another carpet. At the top, take the door in the left and proceed, not
    forgetting to go right on the 2 carpets in order to get another of those
    things that increase your total life by 10. Then, you can head down on
    those same 2 carpets and continue walking until you reach the last room.
    In there, you will see a huge yellow monster and a metal plate, with a
    cake hidden inside. Here, the target is to use the cake to lure one of
    those monsters into the cage, which is found near the lower left corner of
    the screen. So, you must hit the plate to get rid of it and reveal the
    bare cake (which you can actually push), which you should then move to the
    area of the cage. However, if one of those monsters touch the cake you
    will lose and have to start all over, so in case they are too near it, be
    sure to hit them with a spin and they will go away. Fear not, one of them
    will be back in some time. When you are near the cage, a cutscene will
    appear and you will capture the monster (well, it's actually a genie...).
    Get the magical lamp and then head back to town.

    In town, talk to the person with the "!" and you will get another cloth. A
    new character will also appear, and you should talk to him in order to
    unlock yet another level. Obviously, follow to that level next...

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-3 STARTS HERE

    In case you didn't noticed it yet, you just learned one of them most
    important moves, Stafi's double jump. With him, proceed in the level (it
    is not very hard) until you get the lipstick at the end. There's not much
    I can say about this level, it isn't hard at all, and after getting the
    item I've just said... go back to town. Haven't you heard this before,
    have you? -_-

    Talk to the same fish character from before and you will get another
    chest, like usually happens. After, you'll see Kyorosuke in the map,
    wanting to talk to you. Do it and you'll see a cutscene in which Stappi
    gets kidnapped (or starnapped, depending on how you think about it)...
    Well, anyway, simply proceed to the new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-4 STARTS HERE

    Walk as usual and you'll eventually find yourself in a room with a
    sun-shaped enemy and button nearby. Press it (it will turn day into night
    for a while) and then rush as quickly as possible, for the sun guy not
    being able to catch you, until you reach the door in the lower left corner
    of that area. In the new room, enter the door in the upper right corner.
    Proceed as your normally would (and by using everything I've taught you
    about this level) and eventually you will reach the boss battle at the
    end, as you should know.
    He is not very hard and you can easily dodge most of his attacks (...),
    but the only point when he is actually vulnerable is after entering one of
    the pots. He will try to mix them to confuse you, but just follow the
    correct one (c'mon, that's really easy!) and hit it when they stop, he
    will show up and you can give him some damage for a short ammount of time,
    which you should surely spend trying to hit him as much as you can. When
    he raises sand barriers from the ground (I wonder how they work under and
    above water, but let's not discuss physics around here), hit them as much
    and as quickly as possible and the battle will continue, but be aware that
    the number of walls you need to destroy are the opposite of his life. More
    life, less walls, understood? Well, keep on following what I've said, but
    be sure to try avoiding as much of his attacks as possible, and you will
    be fine. Trust me, you just will, but be sure to heal when your health
    drops above 50!

    After this battle, save the game and you will be taken back to town, along
    with yet another new cloth. The transportation will once again appear,
    take it to the mini-game and go into the next area, where you will once
    again find more levels and the usual cutscene with the villan and Materu.
    You can now almost see its face

    On the new town, there's (as usual) an area with a "!" spot. This looks
    like Eastern Island, but nevermind that, just talk to the character
    hanging in the specified place and you'll see Stafi being dumb, which
    will instantly take him to the next level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-1 STARTS HERE

    Go up, press the switch (you need to be above the thing with the "> <"
    symbol) and leave it pressed until a pepper falls into the mouth of the
    statue, leading it to destroy the ice below. Then, follow that
    newly-unlocked path and take the lower of the three rooms. In there,
    you'll need to be really quick and allow a pepper to fall in the first
    door, then allow it to pass the second one and the third one, by moving
    quickly to the next switch exactly after the pepper passes in the last
    one. In the next room, you will find a red whale and a musician. Hit him
    once to make him sing, and then you need to hit the triangle EXACTLY when
    the musical notes are on top of it. Do it for the entire sequence (it may
    require some quick pratice) and you will do it, allowing you to move back
    to the room with the 3 exits on the right and enter the central entrance
    in the right, above the one you've just entered. Follow it until the end,
    where you will need to perform the same task (the one with the triangle)
    to wake up a green whale. Finally, get back to the room and, this time,
    head to the top door. Follow it until you reach the end and then perform
    (yet again) the task with the triangle, in order to wake up the blue
    whale. As of now, go back to the room where you started this level and
    then head to the left side, into a room you didn't explored yet. You will
    see all the whales together and you can finally exit this area, going back
    to town.

    Talk to the guy from before and you will be given a chest, apart from
    seeing an emotive scene in which Stafi and Stappie get back together.
    Nice, but now it's time to continue the game. Talk to the huge statue,
    (sorta...) and you will unlock a new attack for Stappie, along with a new
    level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-2 STARTS HERE

    Using the newly acquired power, break the rocks and advance to the right.
    Keep following that path and you'll need to avoid some fire fishes and
    proceed by the lower door at the end. On that new room, find a lever and
    press it, which will open the upper door from before. Take that newly
    oppened door and follow its path, jump on top of the brown platform (yes,
    you can jump to it from below) and continue going up, enter the door and
    follow the path. When you see a door locked in the lower right corner,
    take the one above that (by going in other path) and press the lever at
    the end of that new room, dodging all the
     fire fishes. Then, finally
    head to the now opened room, proceed until you find its end and get the
    necklace (or whatever that is). Head back to town.

    In town, talk to the huge statue (... no comments) from before and you
    will get another of those chests that contain clothes. A new character
    will appear (he seems like the shop guy from Densetsu no Stafi 3), you
    should go talk to him and then head to the new level, not before gaining
    yet another move for Stafi.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-3 STARTS HERE

    Advance to the first room and you'll see a number above Stafi's head,
    which is the number of yellow sharks you need to defeat in the area. Do it
    and then take the room to the right, more sharks, room down, more sharks,
    room to the right, more sharks, and eventually you will reach one of those
    areas with a sea-horse, another room with 5 sharks and then a message,
    which means that you can go back to town. In case you didn't get it here,
    head back and turn up on the second room, defeating the sharks there, it
    will probably do the trick (if it wasn't already done before...).

    ### The information in this section was reported to be innacurate. In case
    ### you can confirm it, and provide the best location for this element
    ### that increases your maximum life by 10, please mail me about it. The
    ### other *possible* location is level 9-4, as stated in the area for that
    ### level, available in "PART 2" of the guide.

    If you look at the map for the snake part of the level, you'll notice that
    the rooms are all connected and arranged in a sort of rectangle. In the
    first room past the whale gate, you'll have a choice to go up or down. Go
    down, around the corner and back up until you are in the room directly
    above the first one after the whale door.
    In that room, you'll notice the floor is a strong current pushing upwards
    (the bottom pushes downwards...that's why you have to go around the long
    way). There is a small piece on the right that goes the opposite direction
    (down). In the middle of the current, you'll see the upgrade hovering
    above a small grassy island.
    ##########################################################################

    Back in town once more, talk to the green shark and you'll get another
    chest, as you probably already know by now. You should now visit Materu
    for a strange scene, in which another boss appears. Materu then visits for
    a while and you'll unlock a new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-4 STARTS HERE

    Go all the way up and enter the first (and only, by now) room, where you
    would need to reach the door without being caught. However, and since such
    thing won't harm you in any way (well, the screen will just get dirty and
    block some of your view), just proceed as usual and you will be fine.
    Follow the next rooms as usual (ignore the room with a snake symbol, as
    you already know) and try to head to the "!" symbol at all times, you will
    eventually reach the enemy boss.
    Trust me, this gotta be one of the easiest bosses I've ever seen in a
    platform game. First, the enemy seems to have only 3 strategies: throw
    bombs; throw potions; use fists. When he throws a potion, dodge it and
    then run to the other side. When he uses fists (Mazinger Z's Rocket Punch,
    anyone?!), simply dodge them to one side or the other. Finally, when he
    throws a bomb, simply strike it with your spin at the proper time (I
    usually did it at 2 seconds left, but it's really up to you) to send it
    back and blow in front of your enemy. This will lower him from the air for
    some time and you should strike him as many times as possible during those
    moments. You can also use a double jump to hit him (usually) once, but
    that won't help you very much unless he is almost dying. Keep on repeating
    and he will go down, awarding you a cloth at the end.

    After the battle, save the game (........ left option, do I still need to
    say it?) and you will be taken back to town, along with another new cloth.
    Talk to Materu, then the transportation will appear, take it to the
    mini-game (....... haven't we seen this before?) and go into the next
    area, seeing the new cutscene.

    HUH, amazing music!!! ... arg, I was supposed to be writing a guide! *Gets
    back to it* On the new town, go to the guy with the "!" in order to talk
    with him, which will unlock new animals and a new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-1 STARTS HERE

    Advance as further as possible (there's a single way) until you find the
    doll you were supposed to collect. Strangely, it will laugh and run away,
    so you should continue advancing in that path and find her yet again, but
    ... she will run away once more. Therefore, you should just follow the
    path until the end and you will eventually get her. When you reach a room
    with 2 exits, take the lower one (the upper one only contains money) and
    proceed until a reach an huge last room. In there, simply capture her on
    the upper right corner and get back to town.

    Talk to the same guy from before and you will get a new cloth. Then, talk
    to the new one, who has a "!", and a new level will be unlocked.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-2 STARTS HERE

    With Stappie, advance as much as possible, until you reach a room where
    you see a strange machine with a tetris-like piece in the middle. When
    that happens, use the bell nearby to switch to Stafi and advance with him
    as far as possible. Eventually you will see the tetris-like piece from
    before near you, so you should switch to Stappi and make her turn the
    piece until it looks like a "T". Advance with Stafi to the left and switch
    to Stafi in the upper bell, making the piece now look like " -| " in order
    to get one of those maximum life increasers by 10. Go back to the bell and
    now make the piece look like " |- " and head down with Stafi. Switch to
    Stappi and make the piece look like " -| " once again, making Stafi then
    go down and switch to Stappi on the next bell. Make the piece look like
    " _|_ " now and have Stafi head to the upper left corner and press the
    switch before entering the door. Follow the path by destroying all the
    metal platforms and switch to Stappi when you find one of those
    piece-related strange machines. With her, go outside and follow the
    previously locked door, switching to Stafi on the upper left bell. Make
    the piece look like " -| " and then have Stappi go down in there, on the
    whole in the left. Turn left when you finish falling and enter the door,
    proceeding as much as you can and turning to Stafi when possible. With
    him, enter the upper room and set the machines in a way that Stappi can
    actually reach the door in the left side, I mean, something that will look
    like this: " |- |- -| ". Oh, and if you are wondering, you can switch
    their position by pressing A+B (a spinning jump...) under them. After
    putting them in that position, simply have Stappi go and enter the upper
    left door, continuing advancing until the end. There, press the huge red
    button and head back to town.

    Talk to the animal from before (a blue squid?!) and you'll get another
    chest. Talk to the one who just appeared and you will get yet one more
    level and another power.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-3 STARTS HERE

    In order to avoid the spikes, use the newly acquired power, a thing you
    should surely do while advancing for the upper right corner and the door.
    Next room, use the platforms to reach the door in the right side and
    follow that path until you see a candle. Get it by simply touching it and
    then continue advancing, using the candle to destroy that huge piece of
    wood that blocks your path. Keep on advancing by using all we've learned
    up to now and you'll eventually get another candle, which you should use
    the same way as the previous one. Advance more and you will find some more
    platforms, jump to the second exit (an upper one!) on the second one and
    continue following that path until you can find the exact last exit of the
    last platform, jump there to the right and follow until you are able to
    enter the door. Keep advancing until you reach the last room, where you
    will need to lite some candles. While the task isn't very hard, you have
    to be specially careful with all the sources of water, since your own
    candle will (strangely) go off even if it doesn't touch any water. When
    you are done with it, you'll get a message and you can go back to town.

    When you are back there, simply talk to the blue character from before and
    you will get a new chest and a map. Well, Kyorosuke will now want to talk
    to you, so you may head to him and do it. After the appearance of the
    villan's blue owl (I wonder where do blue owls currently live...), you'll
    see a shot cutscene and then you will unlock another level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-4 STARTS HERE

    simply follow the path until you reach a place where some red spikes will
    be moving to the right, in there you should try advancing as quickly as
    possible until you are able to enter the door. Proceed in the new rooms
    until you find some of those switches that change the direction of the
    spikes, both of which you should press. Advance even further and further
    until you manage to reach the boss' room, who turns out being that big
    blue owl from before.
    This will be your toughest battle yet, with Stafi being inside one of
    those flying bear-like creatures for the time being. When your foe summons
    some purple balls (which later turn into enemies), be sure to destroy
    them as soon as possible. When he uses a huge hurricane, you can strike
    with your missiles (or whatever that is...) as quickly as possible to push
    it back and not receiving any damage at all. When he starts quickly flying
    from one side of the screen to the other, be sure to be more careful, as
    he will be more likely to damage you. He is only damageable when he is
    moving (without the red aura near his claws...) or stopped, for a very
    small ammount of time after each of his attacks. Use this knowledge and
    you will perhaps have an easier time with the battle, but be advised:
    apart from not being able to use any of your powers during this battle
    (yep, not even the healing one, which can be a problem), it also becomes
    harder as you take more health from your enemy. Apart from that, there's
    not much I can tell you.

    After the battle, you'll get a new chest, save the game and you will be
    taken back to town, where you will see yet another transportation. Same
    thing as before, you will soon reach another area, which turns out being
    the final one. This will be good, and as soon as you reach it you will be
    seeing your first level, acquirable by clicking the point with the red"!"
    spot.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-1 STARTS HERE

    Do you see a huge monster in the background? If you aren't careful, he
    will come near the screen and hit you. In order to avoid it, you need to
    hit as many chandelabres as possible. Start by doing it on this first
    room and then head to the upper right door, where you should destroy all
    the blue statues by hitting them. In case you don't know how to do it,
    just review Stafi's last acquired attacked, which will surely help you in
    here, or you can also go for the mere spinning attacks. Destroy all the
    statues in all the 4 rooms (the ones with an armor take 2 attacks to
    destroy) and you'll get a message. Go back to town.

    The dor will turn into a nicer one and you will get a new chest. Talk to
    the other door and you will get another new level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-2 STARTS HERE

    After destroying the brown block with the attack I've stated before, you
    should continue heading further in the level, but be sure to avoid the
    falling flowers, as they will confuse Stafi for a bit. Eventually you
    will reach a new room, where you can press a purple orb to reveal an
    hidden path which you must follow, which will look like this:
    O O X X
    O O O X
    O X O X
    O X O O
    As you may suppose, you should start in the lower left corner and then go
    all the way up, then turn to the right one square and follow the rest of
    the path. In case you failt to follow the sequence, you'll simply have to
    start over, which isn't a big deal. Then, you will find a room where you
    can play with some creatures, where there's a single tip I can give you:
    holding B will make you run, something you should follow in order to
    easily complete that section. Then, you should continue walking, and in
    the next room you can take a path in the left in order to find another
    purple orb and a new sequence, which will look like this:
          O
        X O
      O O O
    X O X
    O O
    Follow it until you reach a new room and then get another of those items
    that increase your maximum life by 10. Move the white square to be back
    into the room from before and you should this time head to the lower left
    corner of this area. Continue until you reach the last room and you will
    find a puzzle with the following layout:
    X X X O O
    O O O O X
    O X O O X
      X O O X
    The main problem here is that you are not inside water... you should be
    starting by the upper right corner and follow the path, but if you have
    trouble following the final jumping part you should start running (in the
    lower "O O" part) and perform a double jump while running, which will turn
    higher than the other ones. At the end, get the glasses and then head back
    to town.

    Talk to the same gate you did before and it will be nicer to you,
    eventually even giving you a new chest. Then, head to the gate with a
    tiger-like face to unlock another level, apart from Stafi's final special
    attack.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-3 STARTS HERE

    With Stappi, reach the second room and enter the room at the upper right
    corner, in the next one press the bell which is just below the upper door
    in order to switch to Stafi. With him, use the newly acquired power in
    order to activate the 3 flaming blocks above you. Switch to Stappi as soon
    as you can, and with her you should restore your entire SP bar. Back with
    Stafi, you should once again use his power to activate more of those
    flaming blocks and go to the next room. In there, do the same thing as
    before and you will be able to enter the new door. Keep on advancing by
    performing such tasks and eventually you will reach the end of this level,
    where you will find a Kyorosuke. WTF? o_O Well, anyway, I must admit that
    there is a small point in this level which may put you into trouble, but
    its solution only depends on your personal skills and how good you manage
    to control Stafi, there's not much I can advise you about it: it is a
    place with 2 waterfalls and 5 of those flaming blocks in the middle. Well,
    but when you finally manage to beat this easy level, go back to town.

    In town, talk to the same gate from before and you will get a chest. Now,
    you can finally advance to the final gate, which will unlock the last
    normal level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-4 STARTS HERE

    There's not much to say here, except that you simply start the level and
    you will have the door to the boss battle right in front of you.
    At first, the patterns can be considered as simple: throwing eggs (which
    you should destroy by hitting with the spin or anythin else), wandering
    around the screen (which you can easily dodge) or trying to swallow Stafi,
    which you can avoid by pressing rythmed spins on your way up. Avoiding
    these attacks is easy at first, but as you progress across the battle they
    will become harder. With some effort you can do it, and you should save
    your game after the battle.

    The game has ended, actually in a not-so-interesting way. Do you wanna
    know what really happened in the end? In that case, stay tuned for the
    next section of this same walkthrough. However, I must still say that
    simply by beating the game up to this point you will get a slightly
    changed game, for example, the characters in the main menu will be wearing
    different suits, the room with all the unlockables will slightly change (I
    wonder what happened in there, it is all destroyed...) and you will even
    be able to start the game all over again. That's what you can expect next,
    as you may suppose! If you are interested in playing all over again,
    getting lots and lots of unlockables and even a new ending, continue
    reading in the next section.

    2.2~. Walkthrough, PART 2

    Brings back memories, hum? Well, after loading your game you should start
    by talking to the red guy with the "!" and you will gain access to many
    things. An interesting one can be seen by clicking the upper left corner
    of the town, which will reveal the world map. However, for consistency
    purposes, I'll try to cover this second part of the game with the same
    order as before. If you've already talked to the guy, new levels will
    open, and you should click the blue square in the lower left corner of
    this menu in order to select the one you wanna play. Now, you could think
    that the main targets were simply entering those areas previously marked
    with a snake, but there are indeed some other things waiting for you in
    there, as you need some items in order to gain entry on those areas.
    Therefore, this part of the walkthrough will simply cover what happens
    inside each of them, without stating how to beat each area. If you made
    it this far, probably you already have more than enough skills to beat the
    easy sections that you will find from now on.
    As a final note, you can switch between Stappi and Stafi as a character by
    pressing SELECT in the middle of the levels!

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, getting a card at the end. Then, on a second
    turn, use the "candle" (item 01) on that... monster (or whatever that is)
    inside the snake symbol door and you will unlock a new area, at the end of
    which you will gain another new item.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    snake symbol and proceed until the end, where you will unlock a new item.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, getting a card at the end. Later, you should get
    back here and use "rubber" (item 03) to unlock the content hidden inside
    the snake door and get a new song
    at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 1-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. On another visit, head to the snake door's path and use
    cards "rice" (card 04) and "coconut" (card 05) in the strange door to
    unlock a new area. Follow that new are up to the end in order to unlock a
    new song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    to find a song at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    After completing the level once, you will get a new card. When returning
    to this level, be sure to use "water can" (item 10) and "water drop" (item
    09) on the snake door and... well, you know what I was about to say next,
    right? -_- At the end, you get a new song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 2-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. When returning here, head to the snake door and use
    "frying pan" (item 11) in order to unlock a new area. Follow it until the
    end in order to unlock a new item.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. On another turn,
    come back here and go across the snake door, using "rice" (item 04) and
    "fish" (item 12) for the door to allow you to enter it.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. To access the new
    area of this level, simply use "Stafi" (item 13) and "Stappi" (item 14) on
    the usual door with the snake symbol. As a small note, I have to state
    that there is an health upgrade in this level, which you can get by
    exploring the upper right door of the place where you play with the female
    seahorse (the exit door is in the lower part of that same after, in case
    you are wondering). Apart from this, this turns out being just another
    level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new song. When replaying
    this same level, go for the door inside the one with the snake symbol and
    use "Water Drop" (item 09) and "Rose" (item 15). Proceed in that new path
    until you reach the end, where you will get a new song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 3-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. Use Kyorosuke (item 16) in the door with the snake
    symbol and continue following that path, eventually you will find another
    chest with a song inside.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level by getting the chest in the lower left room, where you
    will find a new song. Later, return here and use "bucket" (item 18),
    "brushes" (item 17 ) and "water drop" (item 09) inside the snake door in
    order to unlock a new section which eventually leads you to a new song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. Use "Santa" (item
    19) inside the snake door and proceed until the end in order to get
    another new card. If you get stuck in the point where a key is inside some
    rocks, remember that you can destroy the left (and right) sides of that
    rock.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. When you return
    here later, be sure to use "deer" (item 20) on the room with the snake
    door in order to unlock a new section of the level which takes you to a
    new item.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 4-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. When replaying the level, use "teapot" (item 21), "pot"
    (item 22) and "candy chest" (item 23) in that animal inside the door with
    the snake symbol, follow it until the end in order to get another song. Be
    aware that the route inside the door with the snake symbol also contains
    one of those items that increase your maximum life by 10, which you can
    get by using Stappi's invencibility power at the proper place, the place
    with lots of spikes and all that. No, not the fish the one, the room after
    that one!

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. Later on, return
    to this same level and use "feather" (item 24) and "pendant" (item 25) in
    the usual door, inside the snake symbol place, in order to unlock a new
    path in this level. Follow it up to the end in order to get another new
    song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new song. When replaying
    this level, be sure to use "rubber" (item 03), "card" (item 26) and
    "pencil" (item 27) on the door inside the one with the snake symbol. This
    will lead you to another new path, where you will get a new song at the
    end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. Later on, return
    here and use "ice cube" (item 21) and "strawberry" (item 07) inside the
    snake door do unlock a new area. By doing so, you will not only manage to
    get yet another card at the end of the level but you can also find one of
    those health upgrades (yeah, the ones that increase your maximum life by
    10) in this new area. Since that is indeed a powerful ally, you should try
    to explore as much of this are as you can until you manage to find it,
    before proceeding to the get the item that will end this stage.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 5-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. When returning here, simply use "coconut" (item 05)
    inside the room with the snake symbol and it will all go fine, eventually
    leading you to a new item at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new song. Simply use
    "umbrella" (item 29) inside the door with the snake symbol and you will
    get a new item at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new item. Later, replay this
    same level and use "vase" (item 30), "rose" (item 15) and "water can"
    (item 10) in the usual place, to get a new path. By doing so, you'll not
    only be able to get a new song at the end but you will also have the
    opportunity to get another of those items that increase your own maximum
    life by 10.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new item. I think you
    already know what was I about to say next, so just head to the room with
    the snake symbol and use "fish" (item 12), "bucket" (item 18) and "fishing
    pole" (item 31). Proceed in that path to get a new song at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 6-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. USe items "egg" (item 02) and "frying pan" (item 11) in
    the room inside the snake door and you will be able to get yet another
    item at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new song. In order to enter
    the snake door, you will need "card" (item 26) and "pencil" (item 27), and
    you can simply follow the path of this level in order to get a new item at
    its end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new item. Later, use
    "teapot" (item 21) and "pot" (item 22) inside the snake door in order to
    unlock another area of the level, which eventually leads you to a new
    item.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new item. Replay it, use
    "Stafi" (item 13), "Stappi" (item 14) and "Kyorosuke" (item 16) in the
    door and then proceed until you complete this level, for yet another song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 7-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. Use "umbrella" (item 29) and "boot" (item 32) and at the
    end you will get yet another song to your collection.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. When you are
    replaying it, just be sure to use "brushes" (item 17), "feather" (item 24)
    and "pendant" (item 25) to open the door inside the one with the snake
    symbol and unlocking yet another song at the end.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. In order to enter
    the extra area in the usual place, be sure to use "broom" (item 33),
    "ghost" (item 6) and "candy chest" (item 23): at the end you will get
    another new card.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new song. Use "vase" (item
    30) in the usual place, to unlock a new path and getting a new song at the
    end. Yep, in case you are wondering, I am getting fed up of writing this
    guide! >_>

    ---------------------> LEVEL 8-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, defeating the boss, which will grant you a new
    cloth at the end. Replay the level later on and use "ice cube" (item 28)
    and "snowflakes" (item 34) to enter the door with the snake symbol.
    Proceed in the new path and eventually you will reach a new item at the
    end of the level.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-1 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. When replaying
    this short level, be sure to use items "Santa" (item 19), "deer" (item 20)
    and "present" (item 35), you will gain access to a new areas of that level
    and you should proceed in it until you reach a new item at the end.
    However, be aware that it is a good idea to hit as many chandelabres as
    you find in your way to the final item, in order to keep the monster in
    the background in its proper place.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-2 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. Use "boot" (item
    32) and "snowflakes" (item 34) in the door with the snake symbol, to
    unlock a new area, which you should follow up to the end in order to get
    yet another song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-3 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    Complete the level once, which will get you a new card. When replaying the
    level, use "candle" (item 01), "cake" (item 08) and "present" (item 35) on
    the usual door and you will unlock a new path, which you should follow up
    to the end in order to unlock a new song.

    ---------------------> LEVEL 9-4 (PART 2) STARTS HERE

    In order to get the other area of this level, use "paper" (item 36),
    "bucket" (item 18) and "broom" (item 33) inside the room with the snake
    door. Inside it, and if you followed this walkthrough up to here, you will
    find the last item that you needed to complete your collection.

    ### The information in this section was reported to be innacurate. In case
    ### you can confirm it, and provide the best location for this element
    ### that increases your maximum life by 10, please mail me about it. The
    ### other *possible* location is level 7-3, as stated in the area for that
    ### level, available in the first part of the guide.
    There is also one of those elements that increase your maximum life by 10,
    which you can acquire by going all the way to the room where the item is
    but instead of getting it, keep going up and there will be another door,
    enter it. You should then use Stafy's down+B attack to destroy the block,
    but be sure not to fall yet. Switch to Stappi and slowly float down. Float
    until you see the door on the right side and wall jump to that door. It
    will lead to the room with the health upgrade.
    ##########################################################################

    However, concerning this level there are some more important notes that I
    must indeed give you. While I am not sure if you can do this at any time
    during your second playthrough, I am only sure that it will happen after
    getting all the items, you can face the final enemy once again, in order
    to get a new (and obviously, more interesting) ending. That will be a 3
    phase battle, with you having to face the "normal" boss in the first
    phase, he will then swallow you and you will have to face it once more.
    For this second battle, basically you need to avoid the small hurricanes
    (they make your character dizzy for a while) and destroy the small
    monsters (only if you want, you don't need to but doing so can make this
    battle slightly easier) while hitting the damaged teeth, which is seen on
    top of the screen. After a few hits, it will fall, along with some more
    teeths, something you should try to dodge. The battle is not very hard, so
    you must simply keep on following the strategy above and you will win it.
    After this battle, you can once more save your game and then proceed to
    the third part of this battle. In order to have an easier time, be sure to
    take a full SP bar into the next part of the battle.
    In that one, you need to destroy each of the pieces of your enemy's face,
    which are actually 5 of them. You should start by the top of the head (the
    place where the hair starts, you know?!), then advance to the left and
    right sides of the head and finally take care of the mouth (on the lower
    part of the head) and the place slightly to the left of it. You must try
    to attack as quickly as possible, since the head has (slow) regeneration
    of its pieces, but apart from that the battle is generally easy. Just be
    careful with the flying sparkles that she shoots from her hair, get on
    top of her hands in order to go up (be careful with this too, as her hands
    can sometimes give you damage, when they are reaching the top of their
    course) and you certanly go fine, as the battle is quite easy. You can
    also be caught by the blue balls that appear sometimes in order to be
    taken to one of the sides, where you will manage to get some of those
    balls that restore your SP bar. As an important note, after destroying
    some of the pieces of the head you will notice the screen to turn black
    and some hearts to appear, besides a central one. Well, in here you simply
    have to avoid the hearts that come in your direction, which is easily done
    by quickly moving around the central heart, nothing more.

    After this battle you can save your game, you will see the second final
    and that was basically the end of the game, unless you want to collect
    some more money and unlock anything you wanted.

    3~. Extras

    No, this game isn't just about platform-like levels, it also contains some
    interesting extras, as all the "Densetsu no Stafi" games do. This will be
    the section which you must read in order to learn more about any of those
    extras.

    3.1~. Dressing Stafi and Stappi

    Soon after first completing level 1-1, you will be able to pick a new
    option in the area, which allows you to dress Stafi and Stappi. While the
    true purpose of such option is indeed dubious ("OH NOES, A NAKED STAPPI!
    THIS IS CHILD PORN!" O_o), in there you can pick clothes from a whole lot
    of them, put them in either Stafi or Stappi and have them show up in the
    screen whenever you acess certain menus. This time, you can even press Y
    in order to rotate, zoom or move the current character, and use SELECT to
    reset its position. As an add up, below this text you can see how to
    unlock each specific dress for the characters, if you are looking for a
    specific one just be sure to read its number on your game and then find it
    in this list.

    3.2~. Mini-game

    While in the middle of your adventure, there is a mini-game you will be
    finding and obviously you will want to play it as good as possible. That
    mini-game isn't very important and I even doubt you will have trouble with
    it, but this is a rather important section in any guide and, in case you
    are into trouble, you can always read about it in here.

    ------------------------ Rose Transportation (first seen after level 1-4)

    This game is quite simple, with the player only being required to tap with
    his stylus the place where he wants Stafi to move next. On the lower left
    side of the screen you can see how many extra times you can tap the screen
    (for example, 10/40 would mean that you initially had 40 but you only have
    10 by now) and your target is simply tapping the screen as few times as
    possible in order to be able to reach the finishing line. As an
    interesting note, I have to state that you can automatically see the whole
    field twice before starting to play, which is indeed good. You simply have
    to avoid the spikes and try to spare as many taps as possible, so that you
    have enough to reach the finishing line. When you finally reach such
    position, the taps you still have will be turned into money. That's it.

    3.3~. Unlockables Room

    First unlocked after level 3-2, or at least I think so... this is the
    place where most of the things you unlock will be put. As stated in this
    guide in lines before, it looks like the same room from previous games,
    and it contains several unlockables. While some of these things will be
    acessible from the first time you enter this small house, there are others
    0which you can only visit after completing the game once. These following
    options will be found in that room:

    - Dressing Room, acessible by clicking the division of the shelf which has
      something coming outside of it. This option is available from the start.

    - Piggy Bank, acessible by clicking a piggy bank, near the ground , which
      simply upgrades this same room (it only changes the way it looks,
      nothing else, and such changes will only take effect after exiting this
      room once). This option is available from the start.

    - Phone, acessible by (obviously) clicking the phone, which allows you to
      call Kyorosuke. This option is available from the start.

    - Enemy List, available by clicking the books below the phone. This option
      becomes available after completing the game once.

    - Extra Items, available by clicking the magazine which is in the middle
      of the floor. This option becomes available after completing the game
      once.

    - First Credits Movie, available by clicking the top division of the
      shelf. This option becomes available after completing the game once.

    - Second Credits Movie, available by clicking the second division of the
      shelf. This option becomes available after completing the game more than
      once and seeing the alternative credits movie.

    - First Ending Movie, acessible by clicking the television. This option
      becomes available by completing the game once.

    - Second Ending Movie, acessible by clicking the left tape. This option
      becomes available by completing the game twice and seeing the
      alternative ending movie.

    - Third Ending Movie, acessible by clicking the right tape. This option
      becomes available after collecting all the items (which means that you
      need to complete the game at least once) and then beating all forms of
      the final boss.

    - Sound Test, acessible by clicking the radio. This option becomes
      available by completing the game once.

    - Light, which simply turns the light in this room off (and it will be put
      on the "on" position in a second). It doesn't matter at all, but it is
      always available.

    And that's basically it. The following sections will talk about the ones I
    didn't covered in previous sections of this guide.

    3.3.1~. Enemy List

    Hum? What are you doing here? Didn't you read what I've told you before? I
    won't be writing down the contents of this section, as I simply hate to do
    that type of thing. However, I can indeed tell you that the enemy list of
    this game contains 154 different characters and only less than 20 of those
    can put you into trouble, as they seem to be one of those monsters that
    you easily kill while just hanging around the levels of the game.
    Also, in case somebody wants to contribute information to this section of
    the guide, be free to mail me the position of each single enemy from this
    same game and I will be glad to publish it, obviously crediting you for
    all the information you provide me.

    3.3.2~. Extra Items

    As I stated before, this option and all its unlockables are acessible by
    finishing the game once and then clicking the magazine which is in the
    middle of the floor, in the "Unlockables room". In there, you are able to
    see a whole lot of items that you can get by completing levels in certain
    conditions, all of which will be stated in the list below. In case you are
    wondering, the lower screen seems to present you the levels which
    you've already fully completed (or not) and what items you used to unlock
    the door with the snake symbol in there.

    3.3.3~. Sound Test

    As you may think from the name of this option, it allows you to hear the
    many musics of this game. In order to access it, you need to finish the
    game once and then click on the radio, which is available in the right
    side of the "Unlockables room". Below, you can see how to unlock each of
    the 56 songs of the game.

    That's all for this section, I guess...

    3.4~. Store

    After first completing level 2-1, you'll notice that an option to access
    a store has appeared. While its content has *usually* nothing to do with
    the actual gameplay of the game, in there you can find the following types
    of things:

    - Clothes (the ones specified in the "Dressing Stafi and Stappi" section),
      with a yellow shirt as a symbol.

    - Health upgrades (which increase your maximum life by 10), with the same
      symbol they have in the middle of the levels, a blue spiked orb with a
      yellow star in the middle.

    - Songs, with a light blue musical note.

    While they seem not to be a lot of them, there are actually many items for
    you to purchase in there, with their final number ascending to more than
    80 elements. Also, please note that each "Health Upgrade" costs more than
    the one before it, or it wouldn't be very fair. I also have to say that in
    order to unlock new content, you have to purchase ALL of the content you
    already unlocked, either if it is a single item or 10 different ones, an
    interesting feature that turns the game into a slightly nicer experience
    than a random player could be expecting. As for information about the
    items sold (or, more specifically, about which items you can unlock by
    using this option), browse the sections above for the kind of item you are
    trying to get.

    4~. Secrets

    In this section you will be able to read about several secrets contained
    in this game. While some of them may not be very important and/or
    interesting, they are indeed secrets and you should be told about them.

    - In the first area of this game, where you can talk to the red character,
      there are 3 animals moving. Tap them with your stylus to get 3 of those
      coin-like things. After you've unlocked the menu where you can dress
      Stafi and Stappi, you can enter and leave that menu in order to get the
      3 animals to appear once again, an action which you can continue doing
      as many times as you want. You can also do this in all areas, always by
      tapping different things that move in the screen.

    - When dressing Stafi or Stappi, there are indeed interesting stuff you
      can put on them, as (for example) a Kyorosuke costume or one that makes
      them look like Peach, from "Super Princess Peach" and many other games.

    That's all for this section, too!

    5~. Frequently Asked Questions

    Here are some questions that I consider important. You can also send me
    (or post them on the Gamefaqs board for this game) your own questions, and
    in case I consider them important enough they will be added to this
    section of the guide.

    Q: Can we play with Kyorosuke in any of the levels?

    A: Unfortunately no. I also wanted that...

    Q: Is this game better than "Densetsu no Stafi 3"?

    A: In my opinion, no.

    Q: Is the game import-friendly?

    A: Yes, it is. There are very few situations in which you would need any
       help reading what's in a sign, but fortunately all these situations are
       explained in this same guide.

    Q: In this guide, what is considered town?

    A: "Town" is the place where you will have the store and where you can
       talk to everyone.

    Q: In the middle of the levels, what are those mermaids inside the shells
       for?

    A: Apart from fully restoring your health, they also save your game. If
       you quit the game after visiting one of them, you would be able to
       continue the game exactly in the point where you last interacted with
       her. And yeah, this also works in case you turn the game off and return
       here later on, unlike what happened in the previous games of this
       series.

    Q: What are the black orbs with a star that you can find in this game?

    A: It's this game's version of money.

    Q: Apart from the usual black orbs already seen in the previous Stafi
       titles, I've seen some different ones in this game. What are they for?

    A: Those not only serve as money but also restore some of your SP bar.

    Q: On the second part of the game, you tell me to use item [insert item
       here], but I don't have it yet. What should I do?

    A: Well, some of the items are only acquirable later on, so you will need
       to get back to previous places and unlock those doors later.

    Q: What's the maximum life points that we can get?

    A: I am not fully certain of this yet, but I think you can get up to 250
       life points.

    Q: What is the best place to gain lots of "money"?

    A: Probably the snake door path of level 9-3.

    Q: Why is the translation for [insert something here] innaccurate?

    A: The point of this guide isn't accurate translations, it is mostly the
       one of taking ANY player from point A to point B.

    Q: Afterall, where's the final life upgrade?

    A: Well, there's a big debate around it. Some people say that it can be
       acquired in level 9-4, others in 7-3. Which one is the correct answer,
       that's yet to be seen. Sorry everyone, FAQ writers are not perfect!

    This is all, for now...

    6~. Funny Stuff

    Here I will be stating some funny things that I found while playing the
    game. Most of these things are unimportant at all, but they can sometimes
    put a smile on your lips, which is always nice!

    - In the introduction movie that can be seen before the main menu, by
      looking at Stafi you will be able to see him doing several things. This
      is in no way random, but you can see him playing on a Nintendo DS or
      even sleeping! This also seems to occur in many other cutscenes during
      the game.

    - On the main menu, you can press start (or use the stylus on the purple
      shell) to continue. However, by interacting with the other elements in
      the screen you can do several things. Kyorosuke, Stafi and Stappi can be
      interacted with, the smaller animals can be moved to another places and
      finally (in a obvious way) the purple shell can be tapped to continue
      (or simply start) the adventure.

    - When in the "Unlockables Room", from time to time you will be able to
      see the 3 clams (and no, no Kyorosuke) running across the screen.
