"While Mario is enjoying his fame, here comes Wario with one of the best handheld games ever."

No one can describe it, but Mario was getting more and more popular by the minute. While many enjoyed Mario's rise to fame, many didn't. Then Nintendo did something that should be remembered forever. They made a ''good'' spinoff of their popular franchise. They named the character '' Wario.'' Wario was meant to have been Mario's ''evil'' twin, but he was actually a character full of greed and lots of self-centered self-consciences. The story of this game would have been for Wario to capture lots of money and then to steal a Princess Peach statue before Mario does. Nobody really had a clue on how this game will turnout.

When this game was released it was an instant success. This was because Nintendo mapped everything the way it was supposed to have been mapped and they just did a good role at replacing Mario and bringing off a new character that was hell-bent on destroying Mario.

One of the high points of this game were definitely its surprising graphics. These were so good especially since they were on an 8 bit handheld. The graphics were all detailed to the max with some of the earlies, but best 2-D graphics seen. The sound was just as strong too. The sound mixed up the elements on which were happening on the screen. So when you broke the blocks you always heard this small crumbling noise. Pretty nice.

The control was also the icing of the cake so to say. The control was so easy that it could have made Mario fans cry. The controls were simple. You just press the A button to jump and the B button to tackle. You as well use the Directional Cross Key to move yourself up, down, left, and/or right. This was the best thing that could have happened to this game.

The level design was good too. Also the enemy's were either smart or low on intelligence. There are many enemies in this game. Some are on pedestals, ships, or on foot. Also some of your enemies will be weird looking animal things, others will be knights, and some of the others will be fat genies. People will also continue to replay this game because it savors everything in a nice package and also because it will be a simple platformer.

Overall Wario Land should be played by everybody, even the more hardcore Mario fans.
