""There was a Pokemon Green?!?!?!""
"There was a Pokemon Green?!?!?!"-Too many people...
Too many people think that this game was a game that only Japan had access to, and that they got ripped off because they live in a different Country. They are only half right, because Japan originally only had Red and Green. Then, Pokemon Blue was released in Japan. It was a remake of Green, but with graphics and sound superior to that of Green and Red. The rest of the world got Red and Blue, but the games we received were remade versions of Red and Green, but with the superior graphics and sound of Japan's Pokemon Blue. Please remember that the graphics and sound were only slightly better.
The graphics, like every other Pokemon game for gameboy(except for yellow), were horrible in comparison to most other gameboy games. Luckily, the game was made for the gameplay, not graphics.
We all remember those catchy, subliminal, and somewhat annoying tunes that would play throughout the game. They were a bit repetitive, but they werent THAT bad. They even got you into the game a bit more sometimes.
Difficulty: Moderate 9/10
The difficulty seemed perfect for this game, and was different depending on which starter you chose. Charmander:Hard at first, then easy, then moderate. Squirtle:Moderate at first, then hard, then easy. Bulbasaur:Easy at first, then moderate, then hard. You get the idea.
Great idea for a game. Catching pokemon and raising them, ultimately creating your own team. The gym leaders kept the difficulty in the game, and the need to trade with a friend for all 150(or 151) pokemon was another good idea.
Replay Value: 10/10
Gotta Catch 'Em All! To catch every available pokemon will take a long time, and to level every pokemon in your party could take a while too. It's a good game for about a week of gameplay, and even more if you choose to start over and do some kind of challenge, like only using a weedle/caterpie to beat the game.
Get the game, even if you get Red or Blue instead. It's a really fun game, and retro is still awesome.
