Where will this franchise stop?!

This is probably one of the fastest growing franchises in the history of video games. It's on a roll and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. The original THPS for PSX obtained massive sales and has been ported to DC, N64, and GBC. THPS2 blew the original out of the water with added levels, more skaters, and plenty more tricks. THPS3 is no exception to the series and expands and perfects on THPS2 in every way possible.

THPS3 has some highly detailed skater models and huge, gorgeous levels. The amount of detail and massiveness of the levels makes the other 2 games look like just what they are, old games. The improvement is very obvious. The skaters mover in a realistic manner and the levels change after certain events take place or objectives are met. The only letdown in the GC version is that sometimes the framerate drops, something that PS2's version did not do.

A long career mode spans hours of gameplay. 9 objectives unique to each level challenge players to improve their skills to achieve progressively higher scores. Other objectives include searching for and destroying certain objects, grinding special rails, and tricking over certain obstacles. The career mode must be completed 22 times to unlock ever cheat, giving that much more replay value. If that's not enough two players can compete in a number of games. Even after everything is completed you can never really complete the game 100% since you can always go back and improve your scores.

Sound 9/10
THPS3 is known for it's soundtrack. Top names like Exzibit and Red Hot Chili Peppers are featured for a great soundtrack. The sound effects are also top-notch from grinding rails and ledges to the yells of a bailed skater. After getting hit by a car a few times you won't feel like hearing or experiencing it again.

Flawless. Absolutely flawless. GC's buttons don't work as well as PS2's but once you're used to it you can do anything. The fast controls allow for precision combos to be pulled off at anytime. The new revert move just using existing buttons so barely any new controls need to be learned.

GET THIS. NOW. Any fan of the series will jump for joy at the superiority of the newest installment of THPS over its predecessors. Anyone can enjoy this game, I don't care if you absolutely hate skateboarding. This is a game for all GC owners.
