"There's no such thing as perfection, but Gotcha Force comes close."

Gotcha Force takes all the good things from the genres you love, combines them and makes a game that you will be playing for a long time. Gotcha Force is a game in which you make an army of borgs which you use to defeat other armies. In the process you acquire more borgs which you use to expand your army.

Graphics 8/10
The graphics are quite good and match the gameplay perfectly. All the areas are very colorful and have a large amount of detail. The borgs were done nicely, but some of them will move their limbs through their equipment, like stick a hand through a sword. It's minor, but noticeable. The character models are all 2D, and their anime look adds to the game's atmosphere.

Gameplay 9/10
Gameplay is where Gotcha Force really shines, and for many reasons. Though you only attack with two buttons, action is fast pacing and you'll have dodge most of the attacks fired at you to stay alive. The combat is simple, but insanely addictive. Though you only control one borg at a time, the computer can use up to five. In the end, every fight is insane and very difficult. When you win you have a chance of getting any of the borgs you defeated, which you can add to your army. There are over 200 borgs and the more similar ones are placed into tribes for easy classification.

Music and Sound 9/10
The songs are usually set on a happy tone and despite their simplicity, fit the game. I can't really rate voice-overs, but I think Capcom did a good job with them.

Story 1/10
There is only one major flaw of Gotcha Force and that's its story, simply because it doesn't have one. You simply find a little toy who tells you that the Death Force is coming to kill everyone. It's unimaginative and nothing changes it throughout the game, then again, what did you expect from Capcom?

Replay Value 9/10
Because of all the borgs, you'll have to play hours just to collect them all and believe me, you will want to get your hands on a good many of them. Also, after you beat the game, you can restart with all your borgs. However, the computer will have stronger and rarer borgs and this also adds to the replay value.

Gotcha Force is a game with addictive gameplay that anyone can pick up and has huge replay value. These two factors make it something you should pick up.
