"ChuChu Rocket! is the first puzzle game on the GameBoy Advance, and surely isn't a slouch."

Originally on the Sega Dreamcast, ChuChu Rocket! is a puzzle game about the ChuChus (Space Mice) and the Kapu-Kapus (Space Cats).

The ChuChus are trying to get back to their home planet, by taking a rocket, while the Kapu-Kapus are trying to eat the ChuChus. Unfortunately, the ChuChus are freaked out, and will only run the way the walls leads them. That's where you come in. Your mission is to place down tiles that will help the ChuChus find their way to the rocket, while making sure none of the KapuKapus board the rocket. Well, enough jibba jabba, time to explain the game.

Well, for a launch game, the graphics look pretty good. The background and sprites look very colorful, as opposed to the dim GBA screen. There's not much to say here, except for one graphical flaw: Some of the stages have walls that have holes that the mice and cats can pass through, and those holes can be a bit hard to see, due to the poor GBA screen. Overall, surprisingly good graphics for a launch title gives the graphics department a 7/10.

The music in the game is pretty basic, although up-beat midis. That's about it for the music. Not much to describe there. The sound effects are pretty good, although kind of weak. Overall, the sound is quite simple, and there's not much to say about it.

GamePlay- 9.3/10

If you want a good, easy to learn puzzle game, what are you waiting for? The gameplay is good. There are several modes, such as 4 player battle, Team Battle, Stage Challenge, and the grand Puzzle mode. There are 2,500 to figure out. That's right, two-thousand, five hundred puzzles. Not enough? You can even create your own puzzles, up to 25 of them in the create-a-puzzle mode. Which brings us to the Create-A-Character and Create-A-Stage modes. You can create a stage for any mode. The custom stage mode is so easy to learn, even a cow could figure it out. Then there is the Create-A-Character mode. You can custom build up to 8 characters in total; 4 mice and 4 cats. Let your imagination run wild here, for there is an unlimited amount of characters that you can think up and create. Want to put Pac-Man in there? Go for it! Or how about Cloud? No one's stopping you. Just don't do something perverted :)

Even after all that, you can trade everything you can possibly save over to a friend's ChuChu Rocket! cartridge. You can even have 4 player battles on one cartridge! There is so much to say about this game, you'll just have to see for yourself.

Replay Value / Buy, Rent, or Forget?

...What replay value? With 2,500 puzzles, you could be on this game for years. Not to mention the 3 other modes, and the custom character and stages backing it all up. Basically, you'll be on this game for a very long time. , Definitely buy if your a big puzzle fan, this game is just too good. But, if your not a big puzzle fan, you might want to rent it, but you'll just probably be wasting your money on the rental.

Overall, I'll give ChuChu Rocket a 9/10. I wish I could give it a 9.8/10, since it's so good, but not quite perfect!

Thanks for reading!
