Best pokemon party and how to level them up?

  1. I have been playing this game for a while and I liked. The thing is that I don't know how to make my own pokemon party. Which of all the pokemon in the game should I choose for my own party? How do I level up six pokemon instead of one?

Accepted Answer

  1. Keep a type-based team. Basically, each pokemon will have different types.
    A hypothetical example:
    Charizard - Fire/Flying
    Lapras - Water/Ice
    Golem - Rock/Ground
    Mewtwo - Psychic
    Gengar - Ghost/Poison
    Machamp - Fighting

This allows you to dish out, for this example, at least 10 different types of attacks, so you will have less weaknesses overall.

To raise all 6 evenly, only use a pokemon that has a type advantage over the opponent. If they remain uneven, go train the lower pokemon in a patch of grass/cave/etc. until their levels differ by no more than your limit.

Other Answers

  1. my current team is

Gengar- Thunderbolt, Psychic, Giga Drain, Shadow Ball
Alakazam- Psychic, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Recover
Wobbuffet- Encore, Counter, Mirror Coat, Destiny Bond
Jolteon- Thunderbolt, Double Kick, Bite, Pin Missile
Primeape- Aerial Ace, Karate Chop, Earthquake, Rock Slide
Dunsparce- Thunder Wave, Headbutt, Substitute, Rock Slide

it seems to hold up fairly well both in the single player and mulitplayer battles.

another thing to keep in mind when facing other people is what they could use that is good against your pokemon. if facing bladelock3455's example, my Gengar alone would deal major damage to the team, so you need to keep that sort of thing in mind by providing a type that is good against a Gengar. (Houndoom with Crunch works perfectly in this case due to it being quite fast and resists 3 of my Gengar's moves, but they must be traded from Emerald or the Gamecube games)

  4. If you have the Vs Seeker, take a pokemon that hasn't been raised much. Then, go to a trainer you've have beaten, and use the seeker. If the trainer jumps a lot, you can rechallenge. Then just put your pokemon in there. By the way, here's my team.
Charizard Level 75- Flamethrower, Wing Attack, Steel Wing, Earthquake.
Scizor Level 75- Swords Dance, Double-Edge, Toxic, Aerial Ace.
Misdreavus Level 75- Pain Split, Shadow Ball, Perish Song, Thunderbolt.
Feraligatr Level 75- Hydro Pump, Focus Punch, Ice Beam, Mega Kick.
Snorlax Level 75- Body Slam, Rest, Rollout, Metronome.
Dragonite Level 75- Outrage, Hyper Beam, Water Pulse, Iron Tail.

  5. You should definitely go to island 7 to train. Go down till you see a house where theres a chansey and a man. He will heal you if you need it. The two trainers next to the house have 5 pokemon that are levels 52-56. Great exp!! And heres my pokemon : )

Charizard Level 87 Earthquake, Blastburn, Fire Blast, Fly
Tyranitar Level 86 Earthquake, Thunder, Surf, Fire Blast (LOL XD)
Mewtwo Level 86 Psychic, Recover, Swift, Blizzard
Blaziken Level 88 Skyuppercut, Fire Blast, Blaze kick, Flamethrower
Sceptile Level 86 Solarbeam, Sunny day, Leaf Blade, Dragon Claw
Groudon Level 86 Fire Blast, Solarbeam, Eruption, Earthquake

Does very well against other teams especially cause of Tyranitar's really good defense, attack, Sp attack, and Sp defense!!!
