Chess fans from around the world! We are happy to announce the release of the first real database of chess games for iPhone that will delight you whether you are professional or amateur.

Chess Database contains a local database of over half a million games played all over the world throughout the history. It contains games of players as old as Morphy, Anderson, Zukertort, Stienitz and new players such as Kramnik, Ivanchuk, Morozovich, Anand, Lautier, Bacrot, Polgar, etc. You do not require an internet connection to view their games.

Chess Database comes with a fine viewer with board coordinates and flip board options as well as move forward, move backwards, move to end, move to start options. The viewer also displays event, year, ECO, location associated with the game.

We also provide a grand search engine where you can filter the games you want to view. There are two modes of search.

SEARCH MODE 1 (Player Search)
You can either retrieve a list of games by searching some text like 'fis' from the name of the required player. The Application will bring out all players such as Fischer D., FishDick, Bobby Fischer, Robert Fischer, etc. You can select a list of players from this list and choose to view their games.

SEARCH MODE 2 (Advanced Search)
You can choose a combination of custom search filters
1. a list of players playing with white
2. a list of players playing with black
3. select ECO
4. choose a duration in years (eg. 2000-2004)
5. choose a result
6. Whether you want to search a list of games played between white and black, or do you want to select all games played by white and all games played by black

This search filter allows you to select any kind of filter and literally you can nail down any game that you want to view if you know its details.

Want to view a recently viewed game? No need to search again. You can simply go to the recently viewed games section where you can select and view one hundred recently viewed games.

We hope to provide useful updates to our users. An interesting set of features we have planned so far is
