It's time to PARTY!

This game, Mario Party 2, is all about the Multiplayer. It has some of the best multiplayer you can get for rather kiddish games, if you're one of those parents who doesn’t want your kids to play any games with bad ratings (Shame on you, overprotective parents!).

Basically, in this game, you have to play a map, with four characters. There has to be at least one human, but you can have up to four. You all take turns rolling dice and moving a certain number of spaces and such, then, depending on what color the space you landed on was, you play a mini game with different team combinations. Also, the spaces themselves are special, because they all do different things, although the most common just give you + or - 3 Coins.

The mini games in this game are excellent. They're very creative. There's lots of different kinds. Duels, Races, Free-For-All brawls, you name it. You can have lots of fun doing this. The winners of the games are awarded coins.

The map itself is fun, too. There's lots of fun things to do there, such as buying items, running over people with trains so they go back to start, hiring a ghost to steal stuff, etc. But the most important thing is buying stars. If you have 20 coins when you go past Toad on a map, he will sell you a star.

At the end of the game, the person with the most stars wins, and becomes the super star! If there's a tie, the people in the tie do it by coins. If there's a tie AGAIN, they roll the dice. They make sure to announce the winner in a very suspenseful way, too.

(Note: You don't have to do an actual game to play mini-games. There's a separate mini game world, too. :)

So, all summed up, this is a great game to play with lots of friends.

STORY: 7/10
Each little map has its own story. It's always that you (The four players) are people who live or travel to or something to the place where the map is. It's always being terrorized by Bowser the Pirate, or Bowser the Cowboy, or Bowser the Sphinx, you get the point. You have to stop him. In the end, when they're about the announce the super star, a frantic looking koopa comes up and says they found Bowser. Then the super star stops him. It's a pretty simple story, but this game isn't so great because of it's story.

Sound: 8/10
I love the music in this game. Each map has it's own theme, like in many games. There's a tune for particular themes of this game (Free for all, team, etc), and they're very good and happy-ish. Great for a party game.

Replayability: 10/10
Wow. I don't think I could get tired of this game in a loooong time. It's not like you're actually replaying it. It changes every time. The only things that are the same are the maps. It is a whole new party, after all. Another great factor of the game.

General: 9/10
So, Basically, if you want to play a nice old game at a party with a few friends, this is a good one. It'll be fun for all. The good thing is, comebacks aren't hard to do. So don't feel bad if you're not doing well.

Rating:   4.5 - Outstanding
