I hear there is a possible way to unlock Luigi. I see it on videos. Any tips?

There is no way to unlock Luigi in the Nintendo 64 version of this game. There is a lot of misinformation floating around about this-- fake codes, videos of hacked ROMs, speculation over text hidden in the game's textures, etc-- but the bottom line is that Luigi is not playable in the original game.
It's also possible that you saw a video of Super Mario 64 DS (a remake for the Nintendo DS). Luigi is an unlockable, playable character in the DS version. To unlock him in the DS version, first collect at least 8 stars (including the first star from Big Boo's Haunt) and unlock Mario. Then head into Big Boo's Haunt, up the stairs to the right-most room. Exit this room through the door located on the high ledge (you can use the "?" block for a power flower). In the next area, jump through the Luigi painting. The rest is fairly straight-forward.
Finally, in the Nintendo 64 version, it's also possible to alter the color of Mario's clothing using a cheat device such as a game shark. Using this method, you can give Mario Luigi's outfit, though he will still have Mario's face and body shape.

I've also seen the Luigi in SM64 videos.
Look, the game shark is the thing that is most commonly used to alter a Nintendo 64 game. You can mess with the sprites, polygons, statistics and colors if you know how to master the game shark device. I've seen people mess with Zelda: OoT (Ocarina of Time) by making Link jump very high, and allowing him to go through obstacles (although you can do the last one by tilting the cartridge to the left).
Anyways, this game has been out for more than 12 years, and I think there hasn't been any credible information from glitch hunters or programmers who worked on that game.
The above poster pretty much sums up what I've been trying to say about there being other sources of a version of this game, or that any data corruption or modification could make the Mario sprite look like Luigi.
And the whole "L is real 2401" thing is just a loose myth with nearly nothing true to back it up.
