What's the fastest way to get rupees?

  1. I need to find a lot of rupees fast so I can buy more red potions. What's the fastest way to get rupees other than just walking around and defeating enemies?

  1. The best way to do this, without any tricks, is to go to the graveyard and release 10 ghosts (Ghinis) from the tombs, then defeat the solid ghost so all 11 will go down at once. You can net up to 26 Rupees this way each time.

To make this easier, attack the solid ghost until it's 1 hit away from death, release 10 ghosts from tombs, then hit the solid ghost 1 last time.

If you don't care about exploiting the game a little, you can plug in 2 controllers, start the game, and go 1 screen left from start. If you haven't already, bomb out the wall and play the Money Making Game.
If you win, press START on controller 1 and then Up+A on controller 2 and SAVE. If you lost rupees, select RETRY.

  1. There are 3 "This Is A Secret To Everyone" locations that contain 100 Rupees each. One is in the extreme northeast corner of the map (from the square below, count 6 spaces from the right to find a hidden passage to it). Note: you can also play a money-making/losing game in the area below the 100 Rupees secret area, but more often than not, you'll end up losing Rupees. Another 100 Rupee location is 4 squares east of the starting screen and one screen up. Burn the bushes in the middle until you get the proper one. The third location, iirc, is two squares west and one square north of the third dungeon. Burn a bush in the middle of the square to locate it (note, don't get all 3 at once, as you can hold a max of 255 Rupees at once.)
