"Stanley the bug man has to shoot pesticide up a giant gorilla's seriously!"

All Donkey Kong games are great, and are instant classics, right? Well....not excactly. One needs only to look at the third installment of the classic series to have to wonder the simple question "What were those Nintendo guys smoking when they came up with this idea?"

The Donkey Kong 3 gameplay is very simple, and very unvaried. You are Stanley, bug exterminater extraordiaire, and you have a big bug to exterminate: Donkey Kong. You can shoot the bugs that chase you, but your main target should be Donkey Kong. The more you shoot him, the higher up the poles he'll climb. If he climbs to the top of the polls, bee hives will fall on his head and it's on to the next level for you. Of course it's not that simple. You can get a power up that makes your pesticide more powerful than before. It's that simple.

The graphics are pretty good considering how old this game is. Donkey Kong looks great, but the rest of the graphics tend to be...well, not as good. The sound can get annoying after a while, but, it's live-with-able.

This game isn't challenging, and it just isn't fun. Play this game if you can get it for free somehow, but you'll end up bored with it quickly. You should be able to pick it up at a garage sale or pawn shop or something for a couple of quarters. Not really a bad game, it just seems incomplete somehow...
