    Super Pang II
    NES 1992
    Version: 1.0
The aim of the game is to get rid of all balls on the screen. To do this,
they must touch your rope while it is being projectiles onto the ceiling. You
must do so before the time runs out.
You start the game with six lives. You get an extra every 20,000 points I
believe. Don't hold me on that, I haven't really figured out a pattern.
To help you with the game, there are many power-ups you can collect after
    hitting objects.
Super Pang can be played with 2 players, but the single and multiplayer game
are identical. You more or less compete for a high score and take turns to beat
a level. There is, unfortunately, no co-op mode to shoot balls at the same
    A: Shoot
    START: Pause/Resume
Claw: Ok not quite a claw, but it more or less sucks your rope onto
ceiling for several sections or until something hits it. Pretty
                  good advantage.
Single: Your standard weapon. If you pick up the icon, it simply reverts
                  to this.
Double: It's possible to fire off another rope while one is still in the
air. This makes for more rapid disposition of the balls. If you
ask me, much better than the claw.
Gun: Shoot fire bullets at the ceiling. It won't leave a trace so you
actually need t hit it directly. The upside is that you get two
bullets each time, so it is perhaps slightly better than the
    	      standard weapon, but only slightly.
Sandclock: Slows down time for a short amount. 10 seconds maybe.
Flame: Take one-time damage without dying. You flash white when you are
                  wearing it.
Dynamite: Blows up each ball that isn't already the smallest size. This may
backfire at you if you are not prepared or careless. I've found
this to kill or put me into real danger more often than it's done
good. So perhaps avoid this one.
    1-Up: 1 extra life.
Each ball that is destroys earns you 100 points. Picking up power-ups is
worth 500 points each. Fruit can also be found, they do nothing but add 1,000
    points to your total.

    Level 1:
There are two rows of red balls. They can easily be dodged. Shoot once each
time they come towards you, then another time while underneath. You should make
this within 15 to 20 seconds.
    Level 2:
There is one giant blue ball waiting at the top. It will bounce between the
two platforms. Those platforms by the way, can be shot for a power-up. The ball
splits into three more forms before disappearing. After the first shot you also
get a power-up already, which should help to speed things up.
    Level 3:
Start by running to the right. The right row of balls falls strangely to the
left side. Once they are on the ground they will do much smaller bounces. You
can run underneath them and take at least two shots. But they are also really
slow so you can take at least three of them out if you stay on one side. Be
careful in the corners, as they tend to take a long time to turn around and you
don't want to be stuck with them.
    Level 4:
Those clear blocks can be shot for power-ups, but you also get some from the
second ball-popping. They tend to be really fast, I usually find a sandclock
    quickly, however.
    *French, Triumphal Arch*
    Level 5:
Leave the one in the center alone for now. It will get out eventually but until
then you want to concentrate on the really large ball. It might look really
slow for now, but the smallest incarnations are extremely fast. Take it out
quickly and then concentrate on the center ball.
    Level 6:
There is a good shot location just in the center. But you need to be careful
as the shots just next to here will be really short and most likely not stop
    anything hitting you.
    Level 7:
Try to leave one of the large red balls intact so you can concentrate on
getting rid of the other first. It will most likely bounce in the center
between the two lines. Power-ups should ensure you can get this done quickly.
    Level 8:
This one is really easy, unless you screw up. The block just above you can be
shot. DON'T do this. It is a perfect safety net. Shoot by just next to it and
only the smallest balls will come through, once in a while. Take care of any
that get out and then keep shooting into the basket.
    *Australia, Sydney*
    Level 9:
Shoot those large balls first, they should be staying at the top for a while.
Then take out the ones that made it down first and continue doing so.
    Level 10:
Run right straight away, the left ball will bounce back up so don't worry, but
the right one will get out if you don't take care of it. Shoot it and slowly
edge left while you take out anything that comes close. Shoot open the three
containers at the top if you haven't already to get the rest of the level.
    Level 11:
Don't shoot those glass panels on each side, instead shoot through the small
gaps until they are all gone. Some small balls will most likely drop through
once in while. They will also most likely drop all the way to the bottom
straight away. There is a small glitch, or trick if you prefer. Instead of
taking the ladder down, stand on one of the openings and shoot the rope up.
This way you will hit the ball underneath you if it happens to be nearby.
    Level 12:
These two ball are actually quite slow, the only tough thing is that they do
not bounce evenly on the steps and you are often very close to them. It's quite
easy compared to some other stages from before.
    *Pisa, Leaning Tower*
    Level 13:
This looks horribly at first, but there is a way out. Run right straight away
and hide there. The yellow ball will go up to the pink one. Then shoot the
second yellow ball and take out anything that comes near. It should be fairly
safe on the left side now. Then go for the first yellow one again, it should
still be somewhere on the right side. Finally, take care of that pink one that
is probably still up in the top right corner.
    Level 14:
The bottom half is pretty much manageable. I suggest letting the ball bounce
back to the right first and then start taking out chunks. When it's gone, go
up the ladder and shoot like mad. If you are stuck up the steps it's pretty
hard to get out, but only the small versions make it up there sometimes.
    Level 15:
This is pretty easy, because a lot of times there are balls stuck in the top
half. Shoot up when you can, taking care of smaller ones that made it through
    when you need to.
    Level 16:
First get rid of one side's ball. Then the other. Meanwhile try not to shoot
up the ceiling too much. Open up one glass panel when you are done and either
shoot through or remove the ones that dropped down. They can be pretty fast.
    *Netherlands, Windmill*
    Level 17:
Looks strange, but you walk on the sticks. Run right first, then start shooting
the green balls. The small versions will often get stuck between two sticks,
but quickly make it back out. Don't step on the area between them if there is
one in there. On the whole not too hard.
    Level 18:
Shoot straight up from the start, then run into a corner with the power-up if
it was good. The medium-sized balls won't bounce into here, so it's fairly
safe. Take them out slowly, then open up the top and get those as well. They
are slightly faster and harder to predict with the many areas it can bounce
    Level 19:
Let the balls come closer first, then dodge to the left side. Taking out purple
is easier, but the pink one is quite easy as well. Both are slow but watch out
for the small pink balls when you are up on the steps.
    Level 20:
Start with an easiest one, like the 2nd from the left or right. You have enough
space to run for cover. Try to open up the 2nd glass panel as well as the balls
will bounce higher and are easy targets. There are lots of power-ups, so use
them wisely. If you have a sandclock, open up another ball because it will be
split into parts by you within seconds.
