"Worth £5? Pros & Cons"

If you're a shopper that looks at the back of the box to see what the game is like, you'll notice tht for Urban Chaos it says you can steal any car you like, well that's the half truth.
You can't steal it like you can in GTA III, instead you have to shoot at the vehicle first for the driver to get out, damaging the car and your reputation as a police officer.

Grahpics: 5/10
Rubbish, to say the least. D'arci Stern [the first character you play as] looks like a stick figure, literally. The Graphics aren't awful, but they're not brilliant either. You'd be better off with Doom for graphics.

Sound: 2/10
The sound effects are very good, quite realistic, however the music is not. The music is wierd, completely unappropriate for this game. The music also changes from when you are outside of the car to when you get in one. This can work for some games, but not here. The music Operation Flashpoint is much better.

Storyline: 6/10
Well, I won't spoil it for you, but as you progress in the game a richly interesting storyling unfolds. Of course, some will consider this very stupid as it is science-fiction more than anything else, but alot of games these days have stupid/wierd story lines. At least it's got a storyline, some games don't.

Intro: 10/10
The intro movie is brilliant. You get to see a guy's head splatter against the wind-screen of his van. Also, the bit where you see the party in the city reminded me of a scene from the a film. The music in the intro is the only apporipriate and interesting music in the whole game.

Replayability: 8/10
There are HUNDREDS of levels once you've completed the game, sure some take place in the same areas. There are also some missions were you get to play as a robber called Nikko. Very interesting. You could spend all weekend playing the game.

+ Relatively good AI
+ Will work on slower machines
+ Really good intro
+ Good storyline
+ Lots of leves

+ Driving is a living hell, while in GTA III you could slip down between two cars, in this you just get jammed, which is highly annoying.
+ Not all buildings are open for you to go into.
+ A VERY limited choice of vehicles, only cars, vans and 4x4s
+ Poor graphics
+ MUST complete a few training missions before you can start work.

Well if you have a top-notch PC with a brilliant graphics card, you'll get more from GTA III then you will with Urban Chaos. Urban Chaos seems no matter what resolution you select, the graphics are still something to be desired. There are many bugs/faults/problems, which I'm not going to go into much detail about, but if the company that mad this were to make a sequel and take their time with it, Urban Chaos II could be very good, although this looks highly unlikely as I've seen very few games made by Mucky Foot. Worth £5? Well, if you keep the receipt you can be the judge of that.
