One increadible game with one increadible mod, makes this a masterpiece

Half-Life is Quake 2 at its' best. The graphics are sharper along with the sound engine. This game is incredible, to say the least.

Jumping, Crawling, Climbing, Zooming, Swimming, and Shooting are all things that can be done in Half-Life. The single player missions are excellent. An exciting story carries the game on. Play as Gordon, a scientist who works in a top secret research facility, who soon get stuck into a complicated situation full of aliens, endangered scientists, and more aliens.

The multiplayer in Half-Life isn't as good as the multiplayer in Quake 2. The network code hasn't been done very well so even cable modem users are often pushed up to pings like 70 ms. Even in LAN games lag.

Valve software has released several patches to remedy most of the problems involving the network code.

Now that Half-Life supports the official add-on, Team Fortress Classic, Half-Life has become a classic itself. The mod is incredible and without question, makes Half-Life on the best shooters of all time. The mod includes long ranged snipers, blazing pyros, super powered heavy weapons, spies, demolition men, fast scouts, rocket launching soldiers, gun building engineers, and healing medics all in an exciting attempt to capture the flag, or whatever objective the map being played has set.

I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in the first person shooter genre.
