Review by Ephrion
It's a very fun, 3rd Edition DnD game. It's more of a hack-n-slash than Baldur's Gate II, but it's still fun. Oh, and it's based off of the Infinity Engine, which is what Icewind Dale used as well. w00t.
The story goes like... Targos is under siege by a goblin force, so they ask for help from Luskan and Neverwinter. Neverwinter promises reinforcements, while Luskan posts notices for adventurers. You are one of them. After arriving in Targos, you walk off the ship, and are immediately in a battle. At first, you have quarterstaves on everyone, but you can get Leather Armor and Short swords easily enough. After clearing all the goblins out of the Docks district, you can buy better weapons at a shop. There's also Masterwork weapons, which have a +1 to hit. Not found in NWN. ^_^
The feats are a little clunky to add in, though, and the spellbook may be confusing. But it's still a good game. ^_^

If you've played Baldur's Gate II, then you know what they look like. Of course, there is a new menu format, but you'll get it down in little time.

I REALLY liked the music. It fits very well with the situation. It's playing more often than not, unlike NWN.

SPLORK. Nothing is more satisfying than gibbing an Orc. Or an ogre. You're choice. The fighting has a lot of good effects, and the voices... There are a LOT of voices. There's even one that doesn't talk, just grunt!

This is where the game really shines. Battles play a large part in the game, and they made the engine perfect for it. The recommended party is Fighter, Fighter, Cleric, Thief, Mage, and then throw in whatever you want.

This is the best 3rd Edition representation in the PC world, in my opinion. It's also good if you don't have a super-excellent computer and want some 3rd Edition action.
Get this game? Yes. It's worth the money it costs to buy, and then some. You also get some nice little dice to go with it, along with some other goodies. Only problem is, there aren't any katanas in the game. Darn. Katanas are the best swords, period.
