Strike Fighters lets you both take command of a fighter and engage in aerial dogfights with enemies, in addition to letting you destroy ground targets. Although the game is set in the 1960s--when aviation technology was still primitive--the game lets you control some of the most powerful fighters of the period, including the F-100 Super Sabre, the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, and the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Each aircraft is historically accurate, as are the somewhat unreliable missiles and guided weapons. Your skill at outmaneuvering your opponents is the key to victory and survival.
