"This is what Blue Shift should have been"

I know what some of you are thinking. ''Azure Sheep? What the devil is this?!'' Azure Sheep is one of the five hundred sextillion mods for Half-life. It's also one of the best single-player mods for this game.

Graphics - 9/10
You know... the usual Half-life graphics. Best to use the High-definition pack with Blue Shift. I received some slowdown at some points, but that's probably my computer. There are some really good new textures though.

Sound - 10/10
Nothing to complain about here. The basic Half-life sounds. The makers of the game included some more voices which are pretty good. Also, that rifle from Aliens vs. Predator 2 is in there (we all remember that sound... especially if you played the game)

Controls - 10/10
The basic controls of Half-life... Nothing new, but that doesn't matter.

Story - 6/10
The game starts off good. Really Really good. The story is great for mods. Then, all of a sudden, it goes way downhill. The ending isn't all that great. If you only play the beginning of Half-life games, you don't want to miss this. If you play all games to they end... well... you probably still don't want to miss this, just don't expect Half-life 2 story.

The game also has many portions in which you interact with the original Half-life story (You even get to fight side by side with Freeman). One more thing, this is a long game for a modification. It takes, I would say, 5 to 8 hours to beat depending on how good you are at the game.

In other words, the story is nothing too impressive, and it's good from the beginning, then it gets dull.

Gameplay 8/10
It's essentially as if valve made the game. It's just the right amount of action and puzzles (except around the end... then it's just somewhat tedious action) to call it a Half-life mod. The action is fierce, actually difficult at times. The puzzles range from somewhat difficult, to ''PUSH THE BUTTON!!!''

There are no new weapons or enemies, unfortunately. The new weapons are a pool cue (you know... the stick), a lead bar, a frog... alien... thing, (but it acts exactly like a Snark... you know... useless), a pistol which is exactly the same as the one you start off with and uses the same ammo, and a Pulse Rifle from Aliens versus Predator 2 which also is exactly the same as the one you already have (but it's very good if your's an Aliens buff). The only new enemies are a different color alien... thing and a special operations guy toting the new rifle and handgun. There is also a new pretty cool and very easy boss to defeat.

Graphics - 9/10 - Basic Half-life
Sound - 10/10 - Basic Half-life, with new additions
Controls - 10/10 - Basic Half-life
Story - 7/10 - Sub-par Basic Half-life
Gameplay - 8/10 - Basic Half-life, with a few changes
Total (Not an average) - 9/10 - Basically more Half-life... what's the problem with that?

Buy or Rent: Neither. If you're stupid enough to buy something that is a free modification... go ahead. Azure sheep is one of the single-player modifications that are at the top of the barrel. Just type Azure Sheep in a search engine and download it... NOW!
